Eureka! Here we have some more clues into the nefarious mind of Adultnapper as he reveals his second secret weapon "Tewa" in his mysterious dance music arsenal aptly named Ransom Note. Let the mind games begin!

The results are immediate and obscure all alternatives. The most miniscule motion portends a proliferation of susceptible affects dancing across an amaranthine fold. I am at that particular physical place within the anatomy of doubt where distance has little to do with the movement between two points. The distinctions between objects and their naming is merely the residue immediacy that courses like a doomed circuit all through and around me. A fractured Anima. An Apostate waning. The waves ever shortening. If I do return it will be through no force of my own... - ADULTNAPPER

Your new label Ransom Note is continuing its upward trajectory with its second release this month. This time you’ve chose Leftroom Records label head Matt Tolfrey for the remix. How did this collaboration come about?

I've been a big fan of Matt's work for a while. His label is one the best around and he's a great DJ. We met for the first time in Miami and had a laugh. We've kept in touch ever since. Shawn [Ransom Note label manager] and I both felt his sound fit the aesthetic of the label.

The track is entitled “Tewa.” From what we can gather from the always handy Wikipedia, Tewa is a language spoken by an ethnic group of Pueblo American Indians. Is this supposed to be some sort of manifesto for Indian code talkers?

Well I'm afraid its nothing too profound. It refers to the street I grew up on in Albuquerque, New Mexico. My father had fallen ill during the period I wrote Tewa, so it turned out to be a very emotional track. It's bittersweet in the same way childhood memories tend to be. Living in New Mexico has had a long lasting affect on me for some reason. My memories of living on that street seem almost mystical and much of my experiences were centered upon my times I spent with my father.

The label artwork is both disturbing and ingenious. What happens to the Adultnapper when the cord gets pulled?

I'm waiting to see what happens as well.

You’re playing with Radioslave at Cielo on October 12th. He’s been named Best Remixer of the year by some DJ-magazine-that-shall-not-be-named. What do you think makes the Radioslave remixes stand out?

He has an amazing groove. Its simple but immensely powerful. Always takes a room by storm.

What are some of your favorite Radioslave remixes?

His remix of Jaime Anderson, Matt Star, and some pink record with his remix whose name escapes me..

You played the Superfrq Closing Party at DC10 in Ibiza – for those of us who’ve never been. What was the experience like?

I played Superfreq last year in Ibiza. It's a special party. Completely underground with an amazing dark vibe. Mr. C is and always will be a visionary. We toured together in August for Superfreq and each show was special in its own right.

The idea behind Ransom Note seems be like putting together pieces in a jigsaw puzzle or figuring out some twisted masterpiece mystery theater. Now with the first two releases out – what kind of clues have you left for us?

Not much. I'm as much in the dark as you. He doesn't tell me much.

Adultnapper Plans for the rest of 2007?

Focusing mostly on the label and production. I have my next Audiomatique release in October, "Juror No. 9" with a Gaiser remix, plus a remix of Elias Landberg on Railyard Recordings. I now have a much busier DJ schedule, which is nice. Also looking forward to the end of the year and a nice month in South America to start off the next.

Adultnapper : "Juror No. 9" feat. Gaiser remix
(am26) / October 29
Audiomatique Recordings

Welcome back Francis Harris aka Adultnapper with his second EP on Audiomatique! With its stoic bassline and the freaky synth sounds the title track „Juror No. 9“ builds very subtle and creates a dense almost claustrophobic atmosphere. Tight drums, a hypnotic melody and sick sounds don‘t let you go off the hook. Massive tune. With its devilish vocals, freaky sounds and a dirty bassline "Brandy McLeod" on B1 is even darker, but same as "Juror No. 9" still fresh and is a surefire dancefloor weapon.

On B2, Jon Gaiser completely blows the roof off with his his "Juror No.9" remix. The M_inus artist who is just about to release his debut album is indeed found guilty like Phil Spector for having abandoned most of the synths of the original and inducing a percussive minimalistic rhythm construction which turns the track into a highly intoxicating floorfiller. Huge!

“Adultnapper is a rising star of the minimal house scene and this release ably demonstrated his skill at crafting delicate offerings of melodic techno. It’s the kind of record that will sound incredible both as the sun beats down on your back or when hiding in the corner of a dingy afterhours at seven in the morning. Gentle strings envelope you counterpointed by dark and twisted top lines in a tight musical journey. On the flip Left Room head honcho Matt Tolfrey has ripped things apart for a much straighter club orientated take on proceedings. Matt has well and truly nailed his remix, crafting a pulsating bass driven gem, that envelopes the club in a layers of bass and absorbs all who stand in its way. This is a stand out cut for us, and can do some serious damage if dropped at exactly the right moment. M7/M8” - M8

"Brooklyn native Adultnapper has been burning up accross the Atlantic for a few years now. Getting deep and dreamy with "Tewa," he crafts a spellbinding journey through the minimal twilight hours. Busy bee Matt Tolfrey and Inxec get their grubby mitts on the original, warping it into an acid-fuelled, siren-laced, loopy piece of driving, late night techno. Brain juddering stuff. The summer's been shit, this will make serious amends. 6/7" - One Life To Live

“I have been consistently impressed by Adultnapper's releases and this, his second track on his own label "Ransom Note" is no exception to his high quality, well produced standard. I love how he builds the layers of rattling percussion and leads into a rather large breakdown with a wicked buzzing synth line. It kicks back in with a nice warm melodic pad. Tewa has got a great summer vibe but still retains that trademark Adultnapper darkness. Matt Tolfrey and Inxec team up for the remix which, as you would expect, has an uber cool minimal vibe. Tolfrey's name is everywhere at the moment and you can hear why when you listen to examples of his work like this. Great stuff.4/5” - DJ MAG
