Oliver Huntemann has been there since the beginning. Like so many of his colleagues, his route to techno took a tour through electro and rave and began with the formation of the quintessential early 90s dance act Humate. He is capable of telling the usual veteran tales regarding influences, first record purchases, or the "good old days". Been there, done that! However, it has proved much more difficult to just maintaine a low profile. Since 2009 Huntemann has been running the Ideal Audio label. A new chapter after more than fifteen years at Confused Recordings plus a slew of sub and sister labels. Having released numerous 12 inches and almost as many remixes (for the likes of Underworld, Chemical Brothers and Depeche Mode, just to name just a few), he also released his third album, “H-3“ to critical acclaim. With so much fame on his plate, he has done remarkably well to stay out of the spotlight. On February 4, 2010 Oliver Huntemann will no longer be out of the New York City spotlight as Immerse brings him to Cielo for his New York debut. This will be an extra special night as Oliver will be recording the third edition of his PLAY mix series. With succesful editions coming from The Edge (Sao Paulo) and Rex Club (Paris) it only seems appropriate that Cielo plays host to the latest incarnation of the series. Playing alongside Oliver will be New York favorites and Basic NYC founders Sleepy & Boo.
