wow.... i've never seen apt so crowded or so going off as tonight..... great party, great crowd, another killer from teh novaeh, KMcH/tN .... saunderson and aktins (mr. no show) at cielo a few blocks away couldn't even hold a candle to apt; both camea and madga really tore it up, killer selections and smooth mixing from both..... thanx kev !!! see y'all tuesday.....

This past Saturday marked Virgin's first attempt at throwing a large-scale festival in the United States. The V festival has been a staple of the UK festival circuit for eleven years now, so Richard Branson and company decided to capitalize on that success and take it to North America. The result was a fun, albeit mildly underwhelming afternoon.

This party was the absolute best party I've been to since I came to NY in 2003. People were dancing to proper DANCE music until 4:15! It was music from Busy P or the one we call Pedro, who probabley has one of the best music collections ever! And UFFIE Rocked her shit all up in the crowd, so cute! Para One LIVE : he was fucking brilliant~! FEADZ, SEBASTIAN & DJ MEHDI got the party jumping! ALL of their sets were so much fun, maybe because Pedro was behind them in the DJ booth with his new Ed Banger's T-Shirt, but i was loving every minute of it! i felt like i was in Paris in 1996 when Daft Punk hit the celling and then some thanks to Pedro; the crowd was perfect in size and attitude (and i might as well say drunkeness) everyone was so in to it and dancing! and there were DJs, promoters, press, tourists and even hipsters all up in the club gettin hot :) Hells YEA Special Thanks from White Dove to: Element, Montage, Naomi, Vice, White Lightning, Funtime Party Team, Kuji, Ticket Alternative! Now I'll start this review by saying that in the last two months or so, after miami, I really didn't love house music - in any genre or sub-genre. It got boring, it got way to methodical and predictable to me. Because of this I have found myself cutting back going out a lot recently.

2006 DEMF Review

Just got back to Chicago from a great weekend in Detroit with Stadenco, Miss Chief, Possibly Maybe, EJC and a few others. :D Bummed to have missed today's action which looked absolutely hot, but it was time to get back to reality. All in all, DEMF was a total blast... caught a ton of wicked music and the weather was AMAZING the entire time. Below is a list of most of what we caught but my personal highlights had to have been Magda, Audion, Pascal Feos, Wink (holy shit - man was on fire!) and the last 45 minutes of Sunday night in the middle of the main stage dance floor getting nutty to Liebing with a few thousand other crazy mofos. Will write more and post videos later, but figured I'd get the reviews started since I'm the first one home! :(
