- How was WMC for you?
Absolutely amazing.
- What was your best party / highlight of conference?
The best party for me was the Sasha & John Ultra Boat Party, with James Zabiela & Luke Fair. Incredible vibe, energy, music and drinks. Being surrounded by music lovers, producers, djs and industry from all over the world was amazing. It was a very special moment for a lot of us and there's some great pictures to prove it.
- What was the worst party / lowlight of conference?
Luckily I didn't go to any bad parties, but I will forever kick myself in the head for not staying at the Hallucination Party for Terry Francis & DJ Three back to back.
- Highlight track(s) of conference?
The biggest tune I heard was Luke Chable's Dub remix of Gwill Norris "Time". I heard it played four times, by four different djs. A few other big tunes were Habersham's remix of Pat Foosheen "Unthinkable". This break beat monster tears through club systems and drives hard. "Leaving Tiflon" by Habersham & Numinous was heard a few times, and Freakbox by Spektrum once again proves to dirty the filthy tech house scene.
- New talent: DJs ? producers ? live acts that really stood out at conference?
Some great new talent out there at the moment. Two producers from Texas, Derek Howell and Peter Martin had many of their tunes dropped by John Digweed at various events. Their sound is infectious, but really heavy. Habersham as well cleaned up with loads of his songs played by various djs, as well as his own rocking dj sets with The Operators. Dave Preston, who is also part of The Operators through down an incredibly smooth set of twisted music at the Proton Sessions party. I was lucky enough to play back to back with Tom Budden, a Southampton dj, and great friend to James Zabiela, who has some lovely dubby house music. Perfect for warming things up.
- Best Set: Who delivered the Top 3 sets of conference?
John Digweed @ Bedrock. Super heavy, border line progressive meets techno with dirty rocking basslines, thick atmospheres, and twisted sounds. Hands down the best set of music I've heard in a long time. And mixed with no monitors. Absolutely Amazing. Hernan Cattaneo @ Renassiance. The grooviest, funkiest, dirtiest progressive house that never let up, mixed with perfection and ease. A brilliant warm up for the best live act at WMC, Infusion. James Zabiela @ The Ultra Boat Party. Hands down my favorite set of sweaty bouncy tech house and groovy bubbly dubby music all wrapped up with a little bit of Luke Fair, loads of scratching and tons of trippy effects.
- Most memorable (funny or otherwise) experience from conference.
Sean Cusick and DJ Three on the boat clapping, yelling, falling over and creating an overly chaotic but absolutely amazing party vibe at 2 pm. There was also a few too many drinks, a lot of funny pictures, tons of bouncing, and a few good sayings such as, 'its all Jimmy's fault', because basically... It was all jimmy's fault. That day at least.
- What's coming up next for you in 2004?
I have a song coming out on CP Recordings called Sweater Bunnies, with a beautiful breaks remix by Lance Cashion that will surface around July. Other then that, I'll be making my way to Europe to play a few dates, continue my radio show B-Sides, reviews and Sound Bytes for Progressive Sounds, and hopefully work on some more music and music related adventures.

- How was WMC for you?
Wicked time as usual but this ranks as one of the best, personally.
- What was your best party / highlight of conference?
Our 112 Crew party at BED on Tuesday night. All around SOLID night!
- What was the worst party / lowlight of conference?
Didn't really go to any bad parties. I try to make it a point to just support friends and keep to the ier spots. You can't go wrong if your with freinds.
- Highlight track(s) of conference?
HISHAM SAMAWI "HOLDING ON"....MENTAL!! My boy has done it again! Look for this to be the first release on Hish's new label NATIVE THEORY. It can't be looped!
Also, a new track by fellow 112'er Dennis Rodgers and Hisham that was big at BED. Not too many details on it now as it still is getting touched up but it will be huge.
- New talent: DJs ? producers ? live acts that really stood out at conference?
Hmmmmm...unfortunately i dont think i caught any new acts.
As far as producers are concerned, Hisham is relatively new and is on point. He has a bunch of new nugs coming out on various labels as well as the start of his own.
- Best Set: Who delivered the Top 3 sets of conference?
Jeff Mills took the cake on Sunday at BED. Best set i've ever heard from him. DJ Three rocked out at the Kent on Saturday afternoon. And the NY locals showed up in a big way at Joia on Sunday morning. Joel Stadenco, John Dill, & Bredan Benke had that afterhours rocking until the police came and shut down shop at 8am. The vibe in that place was off the charts!
- Most memorable (funny or otherwise) experience from conference.
Lee Burridge was kind enough to pass down a pair of silver thong underwear that he use to wear when he was a dancer in London years ago. Back when he had hair and played Paula Abdul records. So that was touching.
So many funny incidents went down throughout the week. When your hanging out with friends and getting completely thrashed you are sure to have your sides splitting all the time.
- What's coming up next for you in 2004?
Well we have the closing parties of Arc in April which should be bittersweet. I've just been confirmed to play Fabric in June with Tyrant. So I am really looking foward to that. I'll be working with Tresor again soon, and hoping to get over to Ibiza this season for a few spots. So the summer is lining up to be a nice one.

- How was WMC for you?
Wicked, a nice mix of work and play this year... :)
- What was your best party / highlight of conference?
Bedrock party is always great, first night out seeing all my old friends from around the world in one place
- What was the worst party / lowlight of conference?
Tommy Lee's joke of a performance at Ultra. He probably got paid as much as all of the electronic artists put together, and he sucked.
- Highlight track(s) of conference?
Tiefschwarz mix of Spektrum 'Kinda New'. Been out for a while but definitely rocked it for me in Miami. Also, the new Sasha remix of Ulrich Schnauss is fucking amazing.
- New talent: DJs ? producers ? live acts that really stood out at conference?
Infusion rocked the house at Nerve, best energy I saw from a performance in years, and the crowd response was KILLER.
- Best Set: Who delivered the Top 3 sets of conference?
Infusion - Nerve Chris Fortier - Bedrock James Zabiela - Ultra
- Most memorable (funny or otherwise) experience from conference.
Cocktails at the Sagamore with a considerably mashed-up crew after the Ultra Boat Party on Tuesday. What a spectacle...
- What's coming up next for you in 2004?
Quite a few new releases and a bunch of CD licenses, DJing in Europe for the first time, staying busy in the studio and hopefully making some good music! :)
