Same with me, also on OSX 10.3.5 and Safari 1.2.3. And at work on OS9.2 and IE 5 (I know, I know...we're converting to OSX soon), now that I think about it.

safari's pop up blocker is not automatic, you have to enable it. and again, no, i do not have it activated.

Now that i think about, it's a javascript alert, and not a popup, so the blocker isn't the issue anyway. A popup blocker WILL prevent the message from opening in a new window, but happens after the alert anyway.

Ok, problem noted. Maybe i'll fix it sometime. In the meanwhile, email is a perfectly useful and functional form of written communication.

i'm aware of this...was simply making sure that you were as well since "nope" was hardly a tech-saavy response :)

brian didn't seem to have much of a problem interpreting my response.

and apparently you missed this response, which i gather is more along the lines of what you would hope to hear.

why the grief dude? actually, never mind, i don't think that either of us really care about the topic that much, huh.

but, you're right, i don't really care .... methinks the lack of coffee is makin me grumpy :)

the js alert is usually the last thing to load. so basically if you click on a link to a subforum before the whole site loads, you're not gonna get the pm popups.

at least, thats what ive experienced...

um..... ok.

1) I have never heard Rod say or write "toodles". Honestly. That doesn't mean he hasn't, it just means I never saw or heard it.

2) Even if i had, i wouldn't give him credit because he sucks monkey butt. Hairy. red. swollen. dirty. monkey. ass.

3) I actually think the kiss smiley is worse than the pirate smiley, but i think we can agree they're both lame. Feel free to submit alternatives and improvements.

4) i think JayP has solved yet another mystery bug. i guess all that board surfing time is paying off for someone.
