After indulging in some Carter boompty, I plan to make my way from Wacker Drive to Zentra for Tony Humphries. Zentra is on Weed Street. Chicago rules.

Checking my outgoing call log the next morning frightened me. Luckily no one could really hear anything I said over the music (despite the fact that I was screaming). :lol:

Awesome party. Absolutely awesome. Justin Long is an amazing DJ: seamless transitions from banging house to really fucking good tech house (usually an oxymoron for me) to "oh my god I can't stop dancing" techno to more banging house, and he has contagious energy behind the decks. He was relentless. Given that I was primarily there to see Carter, I was more than pleasantly surprised. Someone bring him to New York, please--his sound is perfect for Filter or Sully. I can't say enough about the guy.

Derrick came on and basically opened fire. No warm up, just full on banging it out, which was perfect after Justin's set. He got a little funky later in the night, but for the most part just threw down--definitely the hardest I've heard him play. Again, I couldn't stop dancing.

The Relode boys throw a great party, Justin and Derrick had a smile on my face and my booty shaking all night, the crowd was up for it, Brody (b9) is a drunk monkey rockstar, also met Gusto and Lovestar briefly, got waaaaaaaay too drunk, and the view of the city was icing on the cake. Chicago rules.
