Well since its a new board I should try and stop lurking as much and post

Here are some of parties this February or whats left of the month

Feb 21 - Nick Warren @ the river (yes a real river outdoors)

Feb 25 - Miguel Migs @ Taboo Bamboo

Feb 26 - Hernan Cattaneo @ abacus

So if your ever in the carribean, there's your edm fix

I've seen DJs spin in DR in fucking underground CAVES, literally. Absolutely mindblowing experience. More of a scene there than most people think!

I've seen DJs spin in DR in fucking underground CAVES, literally. Absolutely mindblowing experience. More of a scene there than most people think!

I've been wanting to check out the DR caves forever. But I cant seem to find an event listing of djs anywhere.

the bloke, eddie, speaks of Guacara Taina. it's an upper-end club in santo domingo that happens to be in a cave. http://www.guacarataina.com/principal_5.html

there was a guy on n-booth that maintained an events calendar for DR parties. his web address was in my deleted pm's and i don't think he's on here.

Also check out http://www.809k.com and in the top right corner click 'Eventos'. You'll get calendar listings. Look on the events forum of the mesaageboard too, they'll often post events not listed on the calendar. It's usually in Spanish.

the scene in DR has grown sooo much and soooo quickly. my first time playing down there was in 98'. that was just a few hundred people...now they bring down digweed, cox and the rest of the bigger dogs...one thing is for sure, my people go for daaaaaaays! the energy down there is not to be messed with :evil:

Yeah, the scene has grown down here alot. From big name DJs to really good local talent.

Kinda cool watching how the country went from 1 or 2 big djs a year to on good months having 2 parties every week.

Funny thing about this country is that Dominican's love techno compared to progressive heads. As a friend said once house may be classic but "no tiene mambo"

When I went down there, it was PLATANOS/BANNANAS! I slept the last night b/c i was sick as a dog. I wore myself out. WE were there for 5 days but felt like 10 b/c there was NO SLEEPING!!!!!!!1
I came back with a bad flu and a DOMINICAN MAN!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOWHOOOO! :lol:

WAZZZZAAAOPPP! let's do it again... gather some NY djs jump on a plane and jam out in DR... but i want to go to PR ... never been there. :)

When I went down there, it was PLATANOS/BANNANAS! I slept the last night b/c i was sick as a dog. I wore myself out. WE were there for 5 days but felt like 10 b/c there was NO SLEEPING!!!!!!!1
