New York City's premiere techno party returns to the Sullivan Room for a special one-off on Christmas Day - Saturday, December 25th. Apparently somebody has been very nice... Merry Christmas to you!!!
This holiday extravaganza will feature Tronic co-head Christian Smith, who returns to NYC after moving to Barcelona [home of the SONAR festival] earlier this year. With an increasingly busy DJ schedule, Christian arrives in NYC fresh from the first ever South American Music Conference in Buenos Aires.
Also on the decks will be Tronic mainstay Pjay + friends.
After years of leading the techno masses on Monday night from Guernica to Baktun to most recently settling at Sullivan Room,Tronic Treatment consistently featured top techno talent from near and abroad. The parties took a hiatus while the co-heads of Tronic Treatment, Christian Smith and Viktor Mizo concentrated on their individual pursuits; DJing & production and booking agent, respectively.
Christian Smith is currently in the finishing stages of completing his debut full length album together with John Selway. Christian says to "expect something different ranging from dance floor electro to soulful electronic vocal house, and obviously some techno. Not just some normal techno double pack." He will also be completing his next mix CD for Florida 135, "the best club in Spain" according to Christian. In other Tronic label and production news, he has just finished a new single and a remix of DK8’s "Murder was the Bass."
