Although this party has not been promoted on Rhythism.com, I wanted to try and get the word out because i have gotten a lot of calls from people with the wrong info. This is a Warp Records release party for the Squarepusher album which comes out next week. You will get to hear the new album and i think they are giving away a bunch of 12" vinyl and other crap, and there will be some great performances, BUT NOT SQUAREPUSHER.

The party is definately free before 11:30 and will be fun, i know there are a bunch of peeps who think Squarepusher is playing and wanted to at least make sure our favorite customers (rhythmism readers) have the straight dope.

here's the description from flavorpill:

This Warp/XLR8R-sponsored party commences with a preview of Squarepusher's highly anticipated LP, Ultravisitor, scheduled to drop next Tuesday (March 9). And although Tom Jenkinson won't roll into town himself until early April, tonight's lineup is still smart enough for fans of so-called intelligent dance music. Warp wunderkind Jimmy Edgar, who recently released the instrumental glitch-hop Access Rhythm EP, puts his Detroit-born musical sensibilities to work on the decks. In support, NYC dance stalwart Marcus from Plant and Other Music DJs Tim, Mal, and Casio bring more left-of-center cuts. Electronicats, welcome to squaresville.

First twenty people to mention flavorpill at the door receive an exclusive Squarepusher 12-inch.
