I'm visiting London later this month for the first time along with 3 friends. We are NYers staying at one of the Thistle Kensington's by Hyde Park and heard that bars shut at 11pm. whot?
When do places like Fabric and The End close up?

I'll be meeting up with Brit friends for at least one of the nights but up for suggested places would good to party for that w/e; also any fave places for eats/drinks?

Pubs do indeed close up early, but clubs stay open later. The superclubs, like Fabric and The End, stay open as late as seven. Check it out online. My suggestion is dinner, pub, and club. But bring lots of bills. Prepare to lose your ass and return broke.

Pubs shut at 11pm, most bars, esp in the annoying touristy areas open later, but bars SUCK. Fabric closes at 5 on a Friday, about 7 on a Saturday, and The End is the same.

However, as you're there on the 27th March, go to Hum at Fortress Studios if you can deal with some lovely grimey breakbeat. It's free and the crowd fucking HAVE IT.

A lot of places stay open past 11PM they just don't serve alcohol past that time, they stop serving alcohol at 11PM, which for all intents and purposes is the same thing. But there are many places that have late night liquor licenses. Clubs like Fabric and The End continue to serve alcohol till late. The End and Fabric typically wrap up between 5AM and 7AM, but some nights will go longer. As for what's going on, depends what you're into. These are some listings.

Lions are SO superior to Aeros! Aeros are good, but they don't hold a candle to the Lion.

pt - did they have mint aeros? *drool*

Cappuccino Aeros are where it's at.

Drifter pisses all over both the Aero and the Lion Bar, and if I think I can hack it, I tackle a Double Decker.

Drifters were alright, but ultimately I like kit kats and twix better. The combination wasn't all you'd think.

Double Deckers are a fucking MEAL, but soooooo good. :toke:

pt- need i say kit kat chunky? :toke: :toke: :toke:

It's not CANDY it's a chocolate bar.

They only come in multipacks now I think, chocolate biscuit coated in chocolate with a choc creamyish bit in between the biscuit.

It's never about tomatoes. Bacon, sausages, Black pudding, eggs, bread, and saute potatoes.

You know the score.
