Thursday - The DJ vs The Drummer @ Cargo
L-Double on the Dex and The Jungle Drummer helping him along, shame about Red One on the Mic really. L-Double dropped some anthems and The Drummer is a talented man! Just listen to London Elektricity's stuff. They communicated so well - dropping the volume for a drum solo leading right into the drop of the tune (especially during Dillinja's How Dare You) soooooooooo well. Loved it.
Saturday - Air @ Rhythm Factory
Got in there after queueing 90 mins(!) just as Freq Nasty was stepping over for Ali B to take his place behind the wheels. That was a shame, and apparently his was the set of the night. :(
Anyway, Ali B was ok, Plump DJs were brilliant in their working of the crowd, and Matt Canton of the Freestylers was good as well, going into some rough jungle near the end.
Heard some new remixes of classics (?) this time, including a No Diggity remix
Superb few days.
