There was an excellent article a few years ago in SPIN about dance music culture in Israel. The overall premise was that the youth there really do treat every day as though it might be their last (though not in a morbid or melancholy way) so they suck every ounce of pleasure from the party. It sounds totally cliche but it's something I've seen embraced even by the Israelis I know here in NYC. The psytrance parties I used to go to were prodominately Israeli and their fervor on the dancefloor was pretty inspiring. I haven't been to Israel in over 10 years but I'm dying to go back and see it first-hand.

I also plan to hail a taxi driven by those chicks.

--we won't have to pay for babysitting!!!!

--it's fun to party with your sis-in-law and various cousins :D

--Junior has been there, and will probably go back :D

--they sell balloons outside the club (i've never tried them)

--it's so fucking beautiful there...

--hitting Yaffo at 4am for MALABY :D :D

No ifs and buts, plain and simple, and people DO party like that.

i agree with everything said here. the clubs, the djs, the atitude, the ppl; ALMOST everything in israel rocks when it comes to partying. theres a carefree vibe thats stronger than any fear of any bomb or so. however, the fashion in israel is nothing less than absolutely gross. someone should send joan rivers over there. how many ppl with tight, sleeveless shirts and spiked hair can u see in one night?? and wut about the girls- wuts up with those platform shoes, Goddamnit??
