OK, so as many of you know we've been working up a
brand new location and putting the pieces together to start
up again on Wednesdays, so heres an update on all that....
Wednesday february 11th: new weekly NYEX party
totally NEW fully renovated east-village location,
if you remember the Astor Restaurant & Lounge,
directly across the street from CBGBs,
its now called Mannahatta, this is our new Wednesday
evening home. the staff is very friendly, drinks are proper,
and they don't serve anything in plastic cups.
two separate rooms, upstairs and downstairs, covering our
usual signature style of deep bumpin minimal techno and
house, but now we have two rooms so we add new wave /
rock / hiphop / electro / etc into the mix as well. things
like depeche mode, thestooges, prince, boardsofcanada,
pil, epmd, kool keith, etc, etc
fully installed tweaked and jacked Meyer soundsystem in
the basement. plenty of space to dance. remember the
Tronic boat parties ? those were similar Meyer boxes that
we used. this system is loud without being overbearing, so
clean you'll hear parts of the record you didn't even know
were there. tikiman or brinkmann records over TAD
tweeters never sounded so sweeeeet. red light. green
light....
more info soon,
/p
