I had the pleasure of hearing Justin open for Derrick Carter Friday night in Chicago. Having never heard of the guy, I had no idea what to expect; dancing my ass off to banging Chicago house with some awesome tech house (usually an oxymoron for me, as I said in my review) and techno thrown in was more than a pleasant surprise.

Listen to him. Now. (http://www.chicagogroove.com/groove/djBooth.cfm?dj_id=38) (I haven't listened to all of the mixes, but they seem to be mostly of the Chicago house variety and not as hard as I heard him play, but still good.)

P.S. Someone please bring him to New York, preferably Filter or Sully.
