So im throwing my 25th birthday in 2 weeks. Ever since seeing 24 hr party people i've had this fear of somehow not reaching 25 years of age. Complicate the matter with a good friend of mine taking his life on his 24th birthday last november.
welps, looks like im gonna make it!
starting around 11 or 12 and going til noon or so.
Dinky (carpark)
Troy Pierce (minus)
Matt John (sine music)
Dave Turov (muzzy)
Live PA, Final Scratch, DJ sets, plus surprises. The idea is that at many points nobody will know jsut who exactlly the music is coming from and these guys can do it. Around 6:30 in the morning i might pull out my rig for some really live tweaks.
Venue: 5 meter high ceiling 7 meters underground. Formerly a brewery, nazi bunker, and Stasi center, the building pillars are arched. Main room holds 500 people, total space including dark room, 1000.
Sound: Turbosound TMS-3 (oldschool) based system around BSS digital and analog processing. Its been to long to compare it to nyc stuff, but it holds its own very well and can produce a very clear 133 db in the center of the dance floor.
Lighting and Decor. Minimal lighting controlled by the performers and friends and hte walls will be all wrapped in black curtains for sound and light reflection control. At times it will be imposible to see.
should anyone be in town, lemme know. this will be one of those concept parties.
