KRAFTWERK Announce 3 US Tour Dates & New Single

To coincide with their eagerly awaited world tour, Kraftwerk return with a new single 'Aerodynamik' on March 23, 2004. Originally featured on last year's Tour de France Soundtracks album and performed at the MTV Europe Awards, this new version comes complete with mixes from the legendary François K as well as French house maestros Alex Gopher & Etienne de Crecy. I saw the tour open in Helsinki on Friday.

I won't give away some of the surprises, but I was really happy with a lot of it. The new single, Aerodynamik was one of the better new songs.

There was video, and great lighting. The sound was super-good, and the four of them seemed to be as on top of their game as one could expect from the first show of a big tour like this.

The whole show lasted about 2 hrs 15 min. No fan of Kraftwerk will go home disappointed, and I'd say it's one of the more ambitious live electronic shows out there.

Oh, and the T-Shirts for sale are the bomb.

Thanks for the glowing review. This is really exciting. I saw some pics from the show and it looks like it was really amazing (visually, at least). Yet another reason I can't wait for Coachella.
