As I'm stuck at home this weekend and basically every day until June 7th when I finish exams, I'm posting this hedonistic yet necessary schedule of what I'm going to try and hit in June and July to recover from this disasterous year:
June 8th - Spitkingdom @ Herbal
The Mixologists, Skeletrix and special guest
June 10th - Movement @ Bar Rumba
Marky, Zinc (I think)
June 11th - Progression Sessions @ The End - :D
Catch 22, Makoto, LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad, Calibre, High Contrast
or
Traffic @ Rhythm Factory
Fabio and Stamina MC, Danny Exile, Raf and Ill Logic,cDM Cut, Diverse and Funk Shun, Mel de'vil, Fracture and Neptune (Funk set), Vincent, Rob Gray
MCs - Stamina, Low Qui, Shylo, System and vocalist I-One
Fracture and Neptune, Raf and Ill Logic -
June 12th - Garnier 8 hours @ The End
June 16th - Therapy Sessions @ Herbal
DYLAN, Ink, Gridlok, John Rolodex and E
June 18th - Fabriclive
Tiga, Erol Alkan, Tom Middleton, The Infadels, Andy C, Hype, Friction, High Contrast and others.
June 19th - As One @ The End
Derrick Carter, Luke Solomon, Justin Harris, Kelvin Andrews, Rob Mello, Dr Wicked
June 25th - ORBITAL @ Brixton Academy
Orbital, Plump DJs, Bent
July 2nd - Layo and Bushwhacka @ The End
July 31st - Global Gathering
No way I'm going to be able to afford all of this, but dreaming will help get me through these exams, and the fact I can't go and see Sven Vath tomorrow.

It's like this all the time, I just don't post about it that much for a few reasons:
1) I'm sure none of you care
2) I can't afford to go out all that much
3) School work
4) I mainly go out to DnB and Breaks and you lot in general could not care any less about it
5) I'm not a postwhore
If you do come to London I'll happily show you a British club night, but if you want it to be truly British, give me warning, I need to find my dealer

Am I going mad or is Mauro Picotto a Techno DJ? To be under Eddie Halliwell seems a little strange.

Picotto doesn't categorize himself as a techno dj. He plays techno, tech trance, a bit of house. I'm not a fan though, and Halliwell does nothing for me. Picotto is headlining. I just did a cut and paste job that has Eddie Halliwell first.
Lawler's sets were hit or miss when I've seen him at The End. His sets in New York (for whatever reason) tend to be much better. Howells is the same way. It'll be a long time before I plan to see Howells in London again. If I went to Turnmills that night it would be only to hear the Iberican boy, Ceballos.

those two will work fine together. they'll both play "just kick" about 5 times and the hard house gibbons will all think they've discovered techno.

I saw Halliwell at a Hard House academy once, and he smashed it to pieces. Though, you can imagine how the best way to deal with Hard House was.
Howells played the worst set I've ever seen @ Turnmills. It was appalling, 30 average tunes trainwrecked together over 2 hours. Shit.

Very much so, but I don't really take advantage of it.
For example - weekend of 11th/12th June, I should really go to Traffic to catch Raf and Ill Logic, Fracture and Neptune and DM Cut then to Garnier on the Saturday. However, but I'll probably only go to Progresson Sessions to catch Bukem, Hgigh Contrast and Calibre. Ho hum......

I hope you guys understand how absolutely lucky you are to even have these options. Aside from the usual New York underground heroes, and pockets here stateside (West Coast, Chicago, even the surprise Texas house uprising), there is nothing that compares to that type of consistent talent weekend after weekend. Enjoy and take bumps for all of those who can't be there.

The thing is, I've grown up with this. I've been going clubbing since I was 16 so I guess I just take it for granted. I know I shouldn't and when I see how excited everyone here gets when a big DJ comes I realise that the fact we have at least 7 clubs with world famous DJs every night of the week is slightly on the lucky side. If only I could afford to go out all the time.
pt - it's never about cocaine in a club.

I like Turnmills. Alright, system is no Fabric but it is still quality. It's also got a much better atmosphere than Fabric, and there are loads of people who get soooooo cracked out. Last time I was there for Sims/Clarke/Finke/Rush/Jefferson/Guy called Gerald/Fenton I met so many people who just had no clue what day it was
The thing is, Turnmills gets far too packed. The main dancefloor makes The End on a Hawtin night look empty. They do host Chemical Brothers monthly night now though :D

it doesnt help that the main dance floor is soooo tiny
for some perspective (for NY folk), the main floor at turnmills is slightly bigger than the back room of arc.
