ARGENIS BRITO (From Luciano’s Cadenza label fame)
Argenis Brito born Venezuelan, was a famous singer in a popular boy group in the early 80’s. He was very well known in Latin America and in the U.S at the time.
He formed his first band in 1985 called ‘Wag’ and in 1986 and 1988 he released 2 albums, both of which gave him some very successful radio singles as well as massive concerts all over Venezuela.
In 1994 he moved to the big apple NYC, looking to expand his musical career. He then met Jorge Gonzalez where his love for electronic music began. They both released, GM AND THE THINKING CONGAS, which was an album that fused the classics of Latin American music with the sound of electronic music. Famous artists such as Dandy Jack, Tobias Freund and Atom tm collaborated on this project as well.
Argenis’s and Atom tm’s friendship and similar like tastes in music had made Argenis move to Chile in 1998, where they started working on Atom’s first project, SR. COCONUT. The project has become very popular and famous since the start. It consists of cover versions of well known classical pop and rock songs in a very latin-cha cha cha-mambo fused way. Argenis performs as the singer and front man for the orchestra and since then they have released 3 albums and have toured all over Europe, America and Asia.
Argenis had later met with Chilean producer Pier Bucci and both together formed MAMBOTUR. Releasing 2 albums called Atina Latino in 2002 and Al Frente in 2005. Both albums consisted of all original tracks fused with latin and electronic music.
Argenis and Bucci then soon after met with Luciano and together they produced 4 tracks under the MONNE AUTOMNE moniker.
In 2002 Argenis moved to Berlin to reside and work with his friend Jay Haze on more dance floor oriented music, fusing funk, minimal and house sounds. Thru Jay Haze’s labels he has released music under alias such as The Bastards, Bearback, and Krak Street Boyz just to name a few.
Since then Argenis has been touring heavily with all the big players in the techno scene and just recently in June 2007 he released his first 2xLP on Luciano’s Cadenza imprint which has made him even more successful.
A jack-of-all-trades, Argenis is not to miss out on. Having a great musical background and having collaborated with some of the best in the world, it is no wonder why he has had so much hype behind him.

COALITION OF THE KILLING:
The unified alter ego of Jason Short and Marc Smith (Mr. Malfunction), Coalition of the Killing is the flagship of the Auralism fleet. Having met in Florida's progressive-house scene of 1999, Short and Smith fused their mutual love for otherworldly head trips and steel-toed synths into a longstanding collaborative relationship—between them, they have released 11 records both separately and together under the names Biogenesis, Sattva, and Groove Element. By 2003, their collective musical vision had widened to absorb the new strains of minimal techno and German IDM leaking from across the Atlantic. But as they developed their sound, it became quickly apparent that their music possessed a musicality and sense of humor that was wholly unique to Coalition of the Killing. An electrically charged amalgamation of crunchy rattling percussion and cauterizing analog synths, COTK's off-balance productions were meant for a party where the floorboards aren't quite level and the walls could collapse at any time. They were also ahead of their time, as it turned out—after receiving voluminous praise but no firm offers from scores of the usual labels, Short and Smith decided to use COTK as the fulcrum to launch their own imprint, Auralism, in 2005. Now, operating simultaneously from Nashville and San Francisco, COTK is poised to take the country from both ends with a live set that's equal parts Ableton and Machinedrum. "When Marc and I write together we tend to get really abstract," explains Short. Smith agrees: "We can be grinding and grimy, but at the same time quirky and weird, even ethereal. You may want to ware your helmet!"
Here's the link to a recent live set of theirs:

saw argenis at weekend club in berlin and his live set is kick ass...chugging chugging
and he's a decent bocce ball player.
we went head to head in the french alps this summer.
Me vs Argenis
America vs Venezuela.
best out of 7.
it came down to the wire.
tied 3 games a piece.
shit was tense.
i had Butane in my corner giving his Patriotic support.
Argenis had Dandy Jack for the fiery latinos.
my last ball came within an inch of the jack.
but on his last toss, argenis knocked my bocce away from the jack (pallino or boccino in some areas) and won the match.
in my defense, the grass was thicker up in the alps so i feel i couldnt get the right traction on my balls. I had petitioned to play the match on the swiss side of the alps (who keep their grass alot more trim and neat) but was over ruled minutes before game time and had to play on the French grass (which is widely known for its poor grooming habits and messy, overflowing bushes).
there will be a rematch this summer. we arent sure where, but we'll announce it once we finalize the location.
rest assured this year the playing field will be smooth and trim. with a nice landing strip for the balls to roll.
Venezuela may have the Bocce Championship for now. But i plan on bringing the glory home to America this summer.

you should still check out argenis. he's a great musical talent as well.

Mr Micro Mundo will be a treat to watch, I will post his live set when I get home.
I love his Cadenza album and most of his group work as The Basstards, Krak Street Boyz, Mambotur, Monne Automne.
