They're excellent. Their DJ Kicks mix is fantastic and I've got a few other compilations with their tracks on 'em. Check out pretty much everything on the Compost label -- lots of quality sounds.

yea man, I'm starting to really get into that label!! Kyoto Jazz Massive is sweet too. they're kind of like a mix of Pizzicato 5 and the Cinematic Orchestra. I like.

cool.. That one is keeps more on the jazzy and nu-jazz side.
Lars and Constantin's show is a mix blend of jazz, nu-jazz & broken beats, also soulful and deep house.
In Dirk's show; beside nu-jazz and broken beat stuff, you can also hear old Detroit and old techno / electro records as well: That's what I love about his shows..

nice. thanks. have you been to Nublu? I just discovered this place (on Ave C and 5th St) a few weeks ago and have been about 8 times already! If you're a fan of new jazz and some nice hip hop (none of that commercial shit), I suggest you go. They're having their anniversary at Volume (Williamsburg) on 6/11. I'll be out of town, but I'm telling everyone about it. Will be worth checking out. ;)

Who are they? I might've heard of 'em, but been to Nublu only for a 2 times for live jazz.. One time a couple of musicians were jamming with this guy who used to play with Sun-Ra. Was a great event. Ilhan Ersahin - the owner - is also a successful sax player.. I am not an expert in jazz, but - ;)
Thanks, I'll try to check it out.. But, oh, no, sht - it is the night before Richie Hawtin @ VOLUME ;i'll probably stay in to save energy and money for 12th June.. Still might stop by at least.. Thanks!

Yes, originally he is. But he grew up in Switzerland I guess.
So is Hakan Lidbo I guess; or maybe he is from Sweden? not sure.
