I’m excited
Shamelessly taken from flavorpill
DJ Harvey is a DJ's DJ. Some say the best in the world. Originally from the UK, Harvey washed up on these shores not only to surf, but to drop serious education. Down with the original Ibiza acid-house homies, Harvey's the ultimate selector, true to the Balearic tradition of funky eclecticism. He's been known to drop old-school techno, Hendrix, Michael Jackson a cappella, his own re-edits of disco nuggets, and just about anything else in one of his eccentric marathon sets.

Caught him last year at the Astralwerks/Naked Music party in Miami and was both floored and confused. He looks like Captain Caveman (unga bunga) and to call his set eclectic is the understatement of the year. Sexy soulful house gave way to the thunder known as Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love."
And you know what? It kinda worked...and I'll never know why.
Definitely worth checking out. If nothing else, you'll never hear anything quite like it.

i believe he lives in l.a. now. i also caught him for the first time at nikki's beach at wmc 2003, i didnt think the guy could match two beats together to save his life. granted, hes got some interesting records, i just wouldnt expect a clean, flowing set.
also expect to hear *white horse*. that guy seems to play that track out all the time. :nonono:

You need to track down some of the mixes he did for Ministry of Sound(where he was a resident). He knows how to mix and beatmatch. Have you ever tried to mix real disco with rock n' roll and house? It ain't easy!
