I thought I was going to give him another chance. I was wrong. Which is fine.
It opened up the budget to get another record that suprised the hell out of me this week.

Hey Jason! It was def. great seeing you last night.
It was a blast.
Pjay started out with some killer records. Some of which I haven't heard in years. I've got to find out what that second record was that he played.

What was the first record Mark played? It had some crazy whistling throughout it? Very spacey shit.

Yeah I like lots of stuff but I don't really sweat Perlon too much - sometimes, yeah, but most of their stuff is, for me, a little iffy (same with this one).

I wound up getting a brilliant record that is by RG 24 "Tarism" on M-bass-y Records?
Serious groove. Right between Bug/Hawtin. Very intense edits. It's just really slippery.
It comes from Word and Sound. M-bass-y.com I think.
M. Dear? It's great music! I only have his EP 1 on Spectral. I like that he does experiment with genres/sounds but they inherently wind up with his sound signature.
I should probably give the LP more of a chance.

Actually Kalabrese is a guy from Zurich named Sascha Winkler... in addition Valentino Tomasi mixed the EP, and played keys on it as well.
Or so I'm told....

Agreed, it's wack imho.

I think my first record was Matthew Jonson's Typerope....check it out and let me know.

Same here. The vocals were definitely the turn-off for me.

Jeez guys, don't you see the humour in it ! Regardless, the track has more funk in it than most other releases that have come out in a bit.

I just feel:
It's poorly written and a bad faxcimale of Morane's (M. Nikolai's) The Trick
a1. Think away
That was released not too long ago at all.
Sounds like Prince prince and Supercollider got locked in a room together.

I'm Andreas Dorau's biggest fan...so yeah I'm into a sense of humor in music. This record just didn't do it for me...it's not just the vocals or this or that...it's not quantifiable, I just don't dig it.
Jmaz...it might have been one of the cuts off the new Sender or possibly that recent Oliver Hacke record, I played those early on.

No, it was Typerope, I remember you showing it to me. I was the title track side, not the one everyone played the shit out of last year, which was called magic thru music or somthing.

That's the only track I play of the release, thanks to Plexus for turning me on to that one ;) He's been rockin it for a while. Similar in vain, one of the tracks anyway, is the new Garbriel Ananda lable, Karmarouge, Black Coffee EP.
