RALF KOLLMANN (Mobilee Records) *Surprise guest from Berlin
Mobilee Records co-founder visits us for a surprise set directly from Berlin. A veteran of the electronic music scene with a record collection unparalleled in its depth and magnitude, Kollmann fills his sets with everything from stone-cold classics to the newest of the new—often including exclusive material—one the benefits of his position at the top of the techno food chain. While his podcasts and DJ mixes featuring the latest unreleased mobilee and Leena tracks spread around the world at light speed, Kollmann himself has been busy with appearances at T-Bar, Harry Klein, Watergate, Panorama Bar, Weekend, and the Goya Festival. As Kollmann’s vivacious sets continue to inhabit the world’s most renowned clubs, one thing becomes crystal clear: be it running a label or making people dance, Ralf Kollmann hits all the right spots.
READE TRUTH (Planet E, Strictly Rhythm, White Label) *Celebrating his Birthday
With highly acclaimed releases on his new NYC imprint "White Label" and Carl Craig's famous imprint Planet E Communications "Crimen Excepta EP", Reade Truth reveals what he has been perfecting in his vienna based studio. Its a fantastic hybrid of deep groovy electronic rhythms and moody detroit-eque vibes from and for the underground. Reade Truth is best identified as a veteran DJ of the NY scene whose deep dance floor visions have consistently provided an important source of edgy electronics always delivered with an inimitable style all his own. He has been rocking the decks since 1990 and as a producer he has made his mark on many EPs for cutting edge labels like Direct Drive, Strictly Rhythm, Sonic Groove, Instinct, Pomelo and of course his own Path Records. No history of the electronic music scene would be complete without mentioning the name Reade Truth, one that evokes both futuristic anticipation and nostalgic reflection. We can expect even more work from Reade in the coming month, with scheduled releases arriving in October on White Label and Wurst Music.
