Vitamin B Presents: Yo Momma

Facebook invite: http://www.facebook.com/events/249772391808396/

We have a special treat for August, our favorite, most boisterous, loudest crew from Philly, Bangarang! has loaned us The Architech for the night. He’s bringing his signature sound of fidget, electro & breaks with a touch of booty and a sprinkling of hardcore.

The Architech has also been gracious enough to make a new Vitamin B mix CD for all of us. You can pick one up at the door while supplies last.

We also have special congratulations to offer to Tim The Enchanter, who was married last week. To celebrate we’ll have champagne and champagne cocktails at the bar.
As always you'll be Guncled™ at the door, and Samantha will keep the tasty beverages flowing.

We had so much fun with the last contest we’ve decided to give it another go. The best Yo Mamma joke posted to our facebook invite wins VIP treatment at the August Vitamin B. Our winner and a friend will each receive free entry, two cocktails and a lap dance (optional) from our own Tim ‘The Enchanter’ Schumacher.

DJ SURV (ADG, The Minimal Sessions)

Having been exposed to the sounds of electronic music since his teenage years, in particular techno and after also digging further into the electronic music genre and growing fond of groups such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and New Order, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming a DJ and picked up a pair of Technics turntables a few years back and has never looked back. He’s a member of Astoria DJ Group (A.D.G.) based here in NYC and has made a number of appearances in venues throughout the city including RVL, Recoup Lounge, UC Lounge, Vig Bar, Nana, Hachi, Tenjune, Marquee, Affaire, the MC and also at various venues on his home island of Malta during the summers of 2010 and 2011 among others. He also occasionally hosts his night “The Minimal Sessions” at venues throughout the city.

FREAKY FIZZLE (ADG, Seduction Radio UK)

Influenced by DJ/Producers such as Mark Farina, Derrick Carter, Grant Nelson, Sonny Fodera, and Dennis Ferrer, this Brooklyn-based, Los Angeles-bred DJ has been slowly building steam in 2011 with his unique brand of music, aptly described as "groovin' soul". Freaky Fizzle's signature sound can be best described as soulful dance music with a jackin' edge. Rooted in House, his sets meticulously interweave funky bass lines, booty shaking beats, and smooth vocals in an effort to drive the dance floor into a frenzy. And given that he can cite musical influences from just about any genre, including Classical, Disco, Hip Hop and R&B, his mixes show a sonic range and stylistic virtuosity that is truly his own. Besides regularly spinning around Manhattan and Brooklyn, Freaky Fizzle hosts his own weekly radio show on Seduction Radio UK. He has also been tapped to provide guest mixes for other programs including the 5 Magazine radio show, the Decks By The Beach podcast, and the 1indienation podcast.

Places like Le Souk, Guernica, Movida, Saphire ,Porch and most recently Cielo. He was first exposed to house music at the age of 12 by his older brother who at the time was a DJ himself. The sound of house immediately hypnotized him and that’s was moment when he decided to follow his brother's foot steps. He started DJ’ing at the age of 15 and got his first shot at the infamous Tunnel night club at the age of 21 in the late 90's where he was one of the residents playing along with Kris Spirit, Gonzo and Eddie Baez. His DJ sets have been praised for his excellent range, selection and technique. Whether its house, tech house, techno, drum & bass or anything in between, his passion is felt equally. Venue Details:
Rock & Roll, fashion, art and nightlife fuse as Ric Addison, who brought NYC the widely popular Rm.Fifty5 , AVA Lounge & K Lounge, unveils Inc Lounge
located on the second floor of the TIme Hotel, 224 West 49th Street. The lounge is 2,500 square feet of Glam Rock luxury. Inspired by the era of 70’s club culture, designer, Jody Singleton brings soft and sexy to the hard edge of rock & roll.
Sitting at the jet-black bar, so sleek your Gin & Sin Drink looks as though it’s walking on water below black Lucite chandeliers, you notice a wave of contrasting black and white patent leather settees, curvy-striped leather club chairs, brown alligator swivel stools and deep, plush red velvet couches, all accented by Timorous Beasties wild orchid and graphic tattoo mermaid wallpaper and black mirror mini plasma screens.
The further back in the room you go the deeper you enter into the realm of late night in all of its glamour. The back corner houses the DJ area with an intensely high-back gloss tufted sofa which sheen glows against the painfully beautiful wallpaper. As you enter the back room you may feel the urge to stretch out on the oversized cowhide ottoman centered in the room or check out the wall of mirrors to your left, but head straight to the antique inspired black lacquer pool table - a sophisticated beauty in which to test out your skills. Watching from above is a seducing smoking red lips light-box encouraging your game as you order a Crimson Sunset.
