Paolo Mojo kicks off a new party at Avalon New York
Beginning Saturday May 6th, proper house music returns to one of the city’s most infamous and revered clubs with “ON” at Avalon. The one time church formerly known as Limelight will play host to a summer series of events kicked off by big room bangers
Paolo Mojo and
Yousef. They will be joined by ON resident DJ’s and all around nice guys
Dany Veltri (Groovanauts) and
Zach Roth (Chika NYC, Love).
The night will also serve as the release party for Paolo’s forthcoming mix CD “Balance 009,” slated for release on April 25, 2006. A genre-defying, funk-infected double-CD mix of booty-shaking house, melodic techno, and genuine classics, Paolo gives new meaning to the term "progressive house.” Says John Digweed, “Paolo Mojo is one of the most talented new DJs; he’s a man you’ll be hearing a lot more from,” while Lee Burridge raves “he plays good music!” and Hernan Cattaneo adds “He is constantly pushing and finding quality house music.
