Old Thursday, Mar 12th 2009, 09:02 AM #1 4/4 - 100% Original - Sinistarr, Hellfire Machina, Udachi

Driven AM & Direct Drive Presents:
Saturday, April 4th, 2009

100% Original

Every month at Public Assembly!

Driven AM is proud to present a special all styles edition of 100% Original. Each DJ this evening will be playing strictly their own material.
Expect a night of exclusive music from some of the best producers of electronic music in the world!

Dj's for the evening:

SINISTARR +NYC DEBUT+
(Driven AM | Hospital | Creative Source | Horizons | Peer Pressure)

Causing much commotion and change over the last year has been Detroit, Michigan’s own Sinistarr. Combining the native sounds of Detroit techno, electro and house into his own stew, Sinistarr gained the attention from tastemakers like Fabio early on, who had Sinistarr’s “Leeroy Jenkins” pegged early for the mighty Creative Source. While that didn’t pan out (“Leeroy Jenkins” later ended up on Influence), this did not slow his roll down one bit. Aside from the “Leeroy Jenkins” 12”, he also signed a 12” to Nu Directions (“Anorak” / “Nubienne”), released an EP (“Something’s Working” on Blu Saphir Digital) and dropped a tune called “Recovery” on Deep Soul Music’s Future Without A Past CD compilation. Horizons Music has picked up on his “Lynx Is Playing At My House” lick (with whom he’s recently inked a nice deal with), not to mention a 12” for Creative Source in the future. Aside from the production side of things, he’s also a solid DJ, spinning mixes for a number of podcasts (BBS Bookings, Sonorous Music, etc.) and club dates, and spend time as an A&R for San Diego’s Peer Pressure Recordings, helping get quality producers the world over some much-needed shine. Label heads, promoters and DJs alike should keep an ear to the ground, as this young talent is surely set to turn heads in 2009, and beyond.

HELLFIRE MACHINA
(Breaks FM | Dubstep FM | BadBwoy Bass Recordings | UK Trendz | W.E. Recordings)

Stepping out from The Big Apple, but originating from London, HELLFIRE MACHINA have been turning heads since the projects inception last year. Sonic exploration in the realm of 140 bpm, with an ethos of non conformity, heavy bass and fierce attitude, the Hellfire crew are set to explode. Their productions have already been devastating dancefloors around the world which has led to a biweekly Dj residency in New York, numerous releases penned for the first part of 2009 not to mention a host of remixes that are currently being crafted in their studio 'Planet Twisted'. Chosen Substance of Hellfire Machina will be representing the trio this evening.

UDACHI
(Palms Out)

Born in Ukraine in 1981, Greg came to america in 1990. Raised in staten island new york, he began attending the NYC tunnel parties in the early 2000’s. Raised on a steady diet of harder edged new york city rave music, he branched out to following and eventually remixing The Panacea (position chrome), and DJ Luna-C (Knite Force). Around the same time circa 2005 Greg linked up with fellow producer and DJ AC Slater. AC introduced Greg to more of a melting pot sort of electronic sound that borrowed from every genre, inlcuding old school piano rave, house, breaks, drum and bass etc.. From 2007 on Greg decided to go by the name of Udachi and produce and push this sound that is more akin to as Tommie Sunshine would put it “Armageddon fidget rave”. His main influences run the gamut from the likes of Hellfish, Boxcutter, Penta, The Panacea, to Drop the Lime, Crookers, Digitalism etc.. Recently Udachi’s achievements include an upcoming release on Trouble and Bass with the track “JellyRoll”, and a remix of Audio Bullys “Dope Fiend” along with the legendary brooklyn based Tommie Sunshine. The Dope Fiend remix has been been making it’s rounds on Kissy Sell Outs Radio show on BBC, and appears on the Jack Beats fabric live mix, and has been touted by DMC magazine as “Heavy hitter talks drugs and lifestyle. Tommie Sunshine and Udachi remix is amazing and could be the killer remix of 2009.” His premiere remix of AC Slater’s “Jack got Jacked” Has been liscenced to be used in the compilation “Relax it wont hurt” mixed by Tommie Sunshine on Ultra Records. Udachi has also remixed Chicago’s own Jason Tyler, and his track “Run Around”. Udachi’s upcoming material includes a heavy bass remix of Rico Tubb’s “It Get’s No Better” a single along side Jess Jubilee for the nighshifters label. A future EP for Palms Out and fledgling label Party Like Us Records run by AC Slater. Udachi loves all aspects of electronic dance music culture, he hopes to branch out to other genre’s of music, constantly learning and refining his sound.

Flyer added!

Also for those who have not been to a 100% Original night, the venue actually has 2 separate parties going on... You get into BOTH parties when you pay at the door, this night the second room will be deep house all night! Going to be a great 2 room event this night!
