where do I begin?

I got there early (before midnight) to avoid any hassles at the door, as I didnt have a ticket. Getting there was pretty painless. It was very desolate, which works for this sort of thing. Space was gigantic, and had a much better layout than supreme trading.

they had a rough start. when i got it they were just setting up the bars, lights were on, and there was no music. The "heaven" room got going after midnight; I don't think "Hell" got going until about 1:30am. Coatcheck was on the honor system, which actually worked out ok.

connie - great opener
anja schnieder - never seen her before nor listened to her sets, was pleasantly suprised. Some clickity-clap crap, but overall I liked it.
John Selway - !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jeremy caulfield - opened with a couple of monsters, toned it down, worked it back up again, and finished with weird bleepy stuff (the room had emptied for DJ Hell at that point). I would see him again.
Kruder - meh. I didnt see the whole set, but whenever I went in the room I generally did not like what I was hearing.
DJ Hell - better than those videos that were posted here suggested, not as good as anja or selway. Some tracks felt a bit awkward to dance to, as I couldn't figure out which baseline to connect with.

The firedancer was a nice touch. need moar of this. MOAR!!!

i wish i could have stayed longer, but my legs were hurtin. thanks to everyone that put this together.

the fire dancer was melisa from sullivan room.

A job well done.

Definetly a kick start WMC.

DJ HELL stole the show.

that party was a full-on "rave" - no other word to describe it that was really fun

beautiful space indeed. selway should have played longer and had a better time slot. kruder was bleh at best. anja was great, she really had the first room jumpin'

great to see alot of faces i havnt seen out in awhile.



btw, the late start to the main room was the same sound guy that couldnt get minitek started on time

The previous videos posted made him seem like complete wank.

Since it was stated earlier that those videos did not do him justice, I would like to hear an example of what he threw down

leave Alan alone he was allowed into the building @ 8 pm to set up 2 rooms of fucking amazing sound! maybe they should have went a faster & not so amazing way? that way instead of the late start you guys could have complained how shitty the sound was instead......

I liked kruder........ go figure..... was it his best set prob not but by far not the worst either.

john was good but i didnt want to hear techno lol i really thought he was going to open with a killer italo electro disco set that would have been SUPER SWEET!

it was nice seeing so many of my old rave peeps in a warehouse again...........

This was an incredible night that I am proud to have been a part of. There is a real underground party scene in NYC again and Brooklyn is where it's at.

While all the dj's were excellent, DJ HELL FUCKING OWNED THAT PARTY MUSICALLY. He played real Techno(It actually thumped.....Imagine that!) fused with Tech-House and electro and had everyone dancing from beginning to end. Even my wife who usually can't hang past 4 these days danced to well after 7am. The crowd was diverse like a NY party should be. Seeing people like Astro Earle and Scotto around was bizarre. Popping outta the woodwork lol

Wow, I thought Selway was BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING.

I damn near fell asleep and was about to leave, but thankfully stuck it out to hear Peter Kruder, who I thought was playing some great stuff.

Didn't quite make it as late as hell. Might have stuck around longer, but the ciggarette smoke was starting to get to the lady so we peaced out.

The space is awesome though and hope I have a chance to get down there again.

as one who threw raves in nyc back when it started, and one who has been busted and arrested and charged with these parties, along with Frankie Bones and Dante and Alan Sanctuary, it was amazing to see this bust free event go till it was meant to end.

REMEMBER OUR SCENE IS ONLY AS GOOD AS WE MAKE IT!
