Toronto’s No. 19 label has been steadily building their unique brand of techno and house on the international stage over the past few years... Now NYC will finally get a taste. On Thursday, March 8th the label showcases a trio of their artists at Cielo with sets from Art Department, Nitin and Cameo Culture.

Art Department is the brainchild of No.19 label owner Jonny White, and fellow Canadian, Kenny Glasgow. As individuals both have released countless critically acclaimed records and are regarded internationally as two of the most forward thinking, revolutionary underground producers out of North America… Considered to be a key player in the recent explosion of Toronto artists on the world stage.

Nitin has been referred to as “one of the most technically gifted DJs around.” In a career spanning some 15-years he’s performed from coast-to-coast across Canada, down to the Ultra Music Festival in Miami and BPM Festival in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, and even overseas to Europe. By day he co-owes the No.19 Music imprint with partner Jonny White, that’s already seen critical acclaim with releases and remixes from stalwarts like DJ Sneak, Osunlade and Stacey Pullen, and upcoming stars including Jamie Jones, Soul Clap and Adam Marshall… Joining the Art Department and Nitin on Thursday 8th is Cameo Culture (the artist formally known as August, and one half of soho808) - the latest signee to the label who’s already being tipped for cult status.
