Sven played a monster set last night. It wasn't without flaws but it was leaps and bounds better than the last few times he's been in New York. He stepped up by playing more of the teutonic and bright timbred techno he made his name on instead of the 9am k-hole mud he'd been raking the last few years.

Last Night was NASTY!! Sven was all into it and had the crowd moving. Had so much fun. so glad i decided to go out.

I am soo tired........


Sven was teh Awesome! I always enjoy Sven, but with that in mind this one fo the top 3 times I had seen him. (up there with Fileter 14 with Richie, & Last year's infamous party @ Nocturnal)

I lost myself on the dance floor for a good 2.5 hours. Which is aying alot for my @ Cielo, as I tend to just dance on one fo the steps on the perimeter of the dance floor.

The cow track.....uhm wow. Never have I loved & hated something so much. It was brilliant. A true tour de force.




I want a Robots T-shirt dammit. They were closed when I went back there.

Sven was relentless - i was talking shit before I went in about how his older sets are sick and that he's fallen off in recent years etc etc, and wow was I wrong. He rocked it. I would say his 4/5 records before i left were peak'n. I don't know were he went from there but up till then he was on some 04' type shit!

Sven was fucken DOPE!

Ceilo was way too packed.

Crowd was better then Pacha, but thats about it.

Didn't matter cause again, Sven killed it.

Definitely one of the best live sets i've ever heard. Sven destroyed Cielo. I guess I expected acid house and a wee bit of minimal sprinkled in for good measure. And I love being wrong. I got my face ripped off. Fantastic energy, smiles galore and fists in the air till the wee hours. Came to work so happy/exhausted this morning. Much love to the Robots crew for a perfect event. Amazing. Thanks, guys!!!!!!!!!!!

Its parties like this that make a thursday night residency elsewhere in the city a chore....

Damn....i'm pissed I missed this.

Wow. What a great night. I started off at the afterparty of this benefit event of the cultural organization my wife works for on the top floor of WTC7 where Gov. Spitzer, the Silversteins, Michel Gondry, Bjork + entourage, Natalie Portman plus 500 other arty and corporate types just had dinner. Got pretty hammered of the 12 y.o. Chivas Regal and appletinis while enjoying the view and several performances by dancers and comedians that happened in the crowd. Hanging out for once with people like that was a weird experience. Straight to Cielo after that, walking in right after Sven started. It was clear from the start that he would leave the minimal for what it is, and go on a relentless techno/acid trip, and I thank him for that. I haven't danced like that in years. His mixing, selection and buildup was stellar. We left Cielo at 3.30 AM and were offered to take a $25 limo ride all the way to my house on 120/Ams Ave. Awesome.

sven KILLED IT. glad i dragged my exhausted body out to enjoy the music. ceilo was filled to the brim with goobers though. still was a kickin party and was fantastic to see nick.

Perhaps some of the Robots should learn some lessons from this. I kid, I kid. The first time I heard Sven was in November or October of 98 or 99 at Twilo and this is how he played (at the time, I thought it was just pitched down trance and thought there was something wrong with him or his turntables). "Bright timbred techno" is a good thing and I bet it sounded even brighter on Cielo's system. Nicely done 'bots.
