I'm surprised he's not getting more heat from the callers during this first hour.

I also found it funny that he commented on two articles Mushnick wrote in the Post.
Christian

"Some men see things as they are and say, 'Why?' I dream things that never were and say, 'Why not?'"
- George Bernard Shaw

"The hottest places in Hell are reserved for those who, in times of
moral crisis, preserved their neutrality."
- Dante

Writers aren't people exactly. Or, if they're any good, they're a whole lot of people trying so hard to be one person.

everyone who actually meets him seems to agree that he's a mega-douche.

he does know his stuff though.

more importantly he knows how to push buttons and create drama out of thin air. it's good radio.

he's a guilty pleasure of mine. i called M&MD once, in 1997.

I think the crowd also knows that no way did Cincy deserve to be in the playoffs. Not only that but the Jets run D was exposed on Saturday.

Mike will pick the Chargers this week and if, by some miracle of God, the Jets beat the Chargers then you will see some real venom from the callers.

Plus, it's Monday. Lets things heat up and wait for Thurs - Fri and we might get some juice.

cant wait for the ride home...the callers usually get fired up during the evening rush hour...im sure there will be fireworks in the next few hrs...

Im sure he will be trying to cover is tracks...but he is right..the jets HAD to prove him/me wrong...and they did..they came out and won a great game...

Im a Giants fan...just think the Jets would have matched up better against the Colts than SD...

no team is hotter than SD...11 straight wins?? look out...could be a bloodbath this weekend
It's that moment of rhythm-induced rapture that we've all experienced..when the party, the people, the music and the DJ all come together to create that perfect flash in time....when a week of drudgery, work and real life will all be washed away in a blur of abandon..and Saturday night is indeed the night a DJ saves your life.

"In my opinion, this sums up the definition of the global underground electronic scene ... it's a sort of machoism, but also a primitive human instinct, just as cultures of homosapiens have danced around a fire for thousands of years. Well now it has resurfaced in modern society. House music."

I rather face S.D than the Colts personally. I think their style is a better "weakness" for the jets than the Colts style of play.

Pros
The Bolts aren't great at stopping the pass, 16th to be exact so basically average.
The aren't good at stopping the rush. 20th in the league and we were #1 so that can't be a bad thing for the Jets.
They can't run for shit... 31st.
Rivers likes ot take 6-7 steps back to set up their long throws which gives our D a chance to get at him with our non stopping blitzing.
Hates to be hit.

Cons
Well they are the fucking Chargers for one.
Tall fast WR's with a lot of talent.
Haven't scored less than 20 points all season... <----wow.
Hottest team going into the post season.
They are +134 points difference when the Jets are only +112.
We still have a rookie qb.
The jets are rarely good on the west for some reason.

Feel free to add/subtract any of the above if you would like.

I think Francesa's personality developed as a reaction to Chris Russo's cartoon character personality.

mike francesa always sucked at football.

but he knows baseball better than anyone and he seems to really understand horse racing.

i like Francesa. He tells it like it is.
I'd known her for years. We used to go to all the police functions together. Ah, how I loved her, but she had her music. I think she had her music. She'd hang out with the Chicago Male Chorus and Symphony. I don't recall her playing an instrument or being able to carry a tune. Yet she was on the road 300 days of the year. In fact, I bought her a harp for Christmas. She asked me what it was.

Francesa is spot on with the way the Mets are handling this Beltran situation.

Oh, the Mets.

OMG, it's so disgusting listening to Dan Dierdork hanging all over Manning's nuts.

If he doesn't do the Jet game, it's going to be torture listening to him do the Colts game.

Great point being told on the show atm...

NFL needs to have the Jets vs Giants in the first week for a Sunday night game next year. New stadium....lots of trash talking going on between the jets & G-men fans.
