Some things are made to be split: molecules, bananas, legs. . . But how about structure?
In this case, yes. Brian Sanhaji and Drumcell will perform their first ever live “Split Structure” show in New York City August 4th, a moniker deriving from two original tracks, “Split” and “Structure” off the artists’ new EP. The outstanding combination brings an intelligent, aggressive sound that push the limits of funky fun. Hailing from Frankfurt, Brian Sanhaji is a regular guest on Chris Liebing’s CLR podcast, and has played at festivals like Nature One and DEMF, and clubs such as Nordstern Basel and Spinclub. Southern California’s veteran performer and recording engineer, Drumcell will bring his legendary warehouse vibe. Founder of Droid Behavior, Drumcell is a longtime production partner of Audio Injection and has earned recognition from Speedy J and Ritchie Hawtin. Playing the main stage at festivals around the world, Drumcell constantly pushes the the limits of music technology, blurring the lines between a DJ set, live PA and audio/visual performance.
While Sanjahi and Drumcell split the structure of live techno music as you know it, you’ll probably have guessed the night will be brought to you by Endless, alongside CLR and SAMA. In keeping with the dirty, underground sound, Sullivan Room allows for the perfect descent into techno hedonism. To ensure the night kicks off with dawn-trodden momentum are Gennaro Le Fosse, who holds a residency in Zurich, and local techno talent Subfractal.
