Finally just made it back to Brooklyn after an amazing night at Crobar for Alegria with Shirley, Artemis, Holly and about 2,000 new friends.

Everything was on point - music, people, vibe, lights, etc. They completely redid the entire lighting system for this event and it turned out incredible. As expected, Abel played a pretty great mix of banging tribal, vocal anthems and some of the big house tracks from the past year. We danced like lunatics almost nonstop from 1am until sometime close to 11am. I lost feeling in my legs around 8am only to get it back (in the form of severe pain around 9am). Didn't stop any of us tho b/c the music kept getting better and somehow we all floated around the dance floor for those last few hours.

I ran into lots of old Alegria friends from all over the US/world and made a shitload of new ones...which is such a big reason why this party is so amazing.

So many fun, funny, memorable moments throughout the night - but the call to Colleen was definitely a classic. I was so excited that covering my ears alleviated the pretend piss problem!!

Can't wait to see the pics (Holly) and get more recap from the crew. Time to eat and sleep...........

ps - thank god i have tomorrow off, too

Oh my fucking god was that an amazing night! We MUST go back together again soon girls! This was defenitely one of the best parties I've been to in a long time. And I don't know if I've ever gotten that fucked up before, hehe. So YAY again for a fucking fantastic time!



P.S. - Yes, I took Carlo home. It was fun.

Oh, and SO sad I missed this. Being away for the weekend and having to work today made it pretty impossible. I REALLY hope you all have a reunion Alegria when I can come!

he was so funny... he asked me if you were gay and asked me to help him out so i decided to make an artemis sandwich and go from there. looks like it worked!!!!

ps - next alegria is feb 20 for presidents weekend. i have some other friends who want to go but not sure if i'll be able to make it. dont have that day off and will be coming back from chicago that sunday. we shall see. def won't do the black party (not my thing) or the april 5th anniversary (i'll be in mexico). omg, i just realized that i don't have very many Alegria's left before i move away

I can't believe I'm alive, we danced so much non stop...everything hurts..my brain, my legs, my back, but SO worth it! This is a party that restored my faith in parties

Such a great vibe, so many friendly happy people, a bunch of older friends from other parties, and a bunch of new hottie friends.

The lights were incredible, like woah! The music was good, but definitely not Abel's top performance...occassionaly there were slow moments.
On the other hand there were some priceless moments.
I remember coming out of the bathroom and heard an awesome remix of a classic awesome awesome song, and I had to run back to the dancefloor. Unfortunately, I have no recollection of what song it was

Oh, and Bobby and Colleen, you guys have to let me listen to those messages I remember calling Coll, it was all Wendy's idea, following her successful peeing with hands-over-ears experience (didn't work for me, btw)
After babbling on and on on her voicemail, I decided it was fun, and Bobby was my next target. I have no idea what I was babbling about on there...

Uh huh....I saw that little bit of conniving work. I knew what was going on. He had been following me around the dance floor for like 2 hours I had noticed. Once you went in to help i figured what the hell, why not? Not usually my thing to go home with a hookup after a party like this, but I guess there's a first time for everything.

I usually really love coming down, but then again I usually always do it with a friend. Never gotten depressed or anything before, but tonight i'm doing it alone and i'm all sad. Bleh! this sucks!

i was so fucking tired last night and a little cranky when one of my friends called me to discuss nonsense and my roommate asked me to do something. but, feeling better today. i'm off from work so i'm about to go take a bath, eat some food and then take a few hours to hang at the Tea Lounge (the dope coffee/tea shop across the street)
