Anyone know what that wacky ass record is that sounds like it was recorded in a hall of flange and echo pretty early (1st 20 minutes ) in the set?!?!?

I have that Audion record...shit is craziness...That Matthew Johnson track won't be out for a while either...Rich is the only person that has a copy right now, but it will be out on Minus around summertime. Excellent track!!!

Who is putting the Audion track out and how did you get it?
I still want to know that track at 29 minutes? The crazy echo and effects on it it plays until 33 minutes? Is that a Matthew Johnson track too? The Audion ends at 55 minutes not sure who he comes into but that is nice and glitchy.

It's coming out on Ghostly/Spectral...I got a promo of it from one of the Ghostly guys while I was in Miami last week.

Ha, that's funny you mention the Puma Box....that was a couple of friends of mine that created that...that Dear track on there is only available on that piece of vinyl and is similar to his stuff previously released on Ghostly/Spectral...it's a dope track!

Yep, I was at the m-nus party, I didn't leave the main room until the lights came on. I agree about not meeting more like minded people down there..still got Mutek though...

The Puma 5x12 was a promotional box set that a friend of mine from Puma made for Winter Music. It's 5 records with 2 different artists on each piece of vinyl, some of which were unreleased tracks, some weren't. ONe piece had Matthew Dear on one side and Diplo on the other. The box had everything from hip hop to techno/electro on it and was limited to 1000.

I'm pretty sure this is a brand new track that only Rich has a copy of. There's also no mention of it on Mathew Jonson's site.

Matthew and the rest of the Ghostly crew have a few dates lined up through the year at APT.
Rich has no schedule up revealing anything but Montreal/Mutek.

So I need to check out this Diplo?

The 1st twilight zone party was at Richie's after the DEMF hours and hours of Rich, Magda and Troy playing the wackiest tweaky minimal new and old classics.
Troy is a part of Run stop restore and that new record will be out soon.
That and I.A. ?Bercochia? were/ are staples of "twilight zone" style sets.
Some old Dum records from Finland in the mid 90's are too.

Diplo - if you like weird, sample based downtempo then you should check it out. I'm not crazy about it, but a lot of people really dig it. His album is out on Big Dada.

I was pretty spent after Control and had to get right on a plane from the party...although I wish I had went to that twilight zone party, sounds fun. I definitely need to hit the next one...As for Runstoprestore, I'm waiting on a promo of it, I hear it's really good...
