Friday night...

Spirit (Anthony Pappa, Randall Jones, Astro & Glyde) OR Crobar (loco dice)....

have been to Crobar a bunch and have not yet been to Spirit, so I'm leaning toward Spirit for something new. the reviews haven't been the greatest, but this is the launch of their new Friday party so it might be worth checking out.

hoping you all might give me your 2 cents on venue, party and djs! other suggestions are also welcome although some friends in town are in the mood to check out a bigger club.

gimme somethin to chew on... what in particular do you think will make it such a great night... djs? people haven't had the best things to say about the crowds. i just like to be around some chill, unpretentious peeps who want to get down all night, enjoy the music and contribute to a + vibe.

on the fence... and looking for some convincing, that's all

1. Anthony Pappa hasn't been to NYC in a very long time.

2. Went to Spirit in December and thought the venue had a ton of potential...at the time the dj wasn't my cup o' tea but I told myself the minute they had someone djing that I want to see, I'm there.

3. I really like Crobar for what it is — but I think that Spirit provides a big club environment with a more "relaxed" atmosphere, which may lead to great vibe.

I don't know what's been going on there since December, but I expect that many people may be venturing out for this particular event to support the party and check the place out.

One more thing, I started going to Vinyl/Arc because a certain other place closed, and now that Arc is closing I think we need to open some new/old doors back up again. The more support we give, the better the future parties there will be.

pappa, jones, and A&G - def. THe venue is nice, but the crowd. . . eh who knows. If anyone can urban can!

Too right. I'll be racing over to hopefully catch the last licks post-Chems. Definitely takes the sting out to know that this is going to become a regular event.

the sound will be eq'd that day- bringing back ONE of the lighting guys from twilo- and you will see plenty of familiar and friendly faces- i promise.

It is my party, so I am a little bias...just fill u in on a few things

we have more than doubled the sound...added 4 new stacks since December, many have been commenting that the sound has been rocking

added an aresenal of new lighting as well

Start of a new party...Celebrartion of Anthonys new residency(bi monthly)

This party is the culmination of a loooot of work over the past few months. If you know us, you know we have been looking forward to this and preparing for a long time.

We have assembled an amazing team of people to work on this with us. We have some pretty crazy surprises/parties coming up...I am sure everyone will be very happy

and above all the music will be killer...Astro&GLyde and Randalls back to back sets at the Bedrock party in Miami were the highlight of my week. They have great synergy and are both so on top of their game. And Anthony Pappa...well I dont really need to say much about that. If you have heard him...then you just know

hope to see you all on Friday..I have a feeling its going to get a little crazy so try to come early..and the music will be rocking from the get go.

just wanted to take a second a congratulate you guys on the end result of what i know was a lot of working to get where you are now.

i wish everyone in the music scene that is promoting the good in it the best in the world, as i do with you guys.

if anyone has done a night, a party, contributed to something of this magnitude, then you know how hard and how much time has gone into this..it's a lot of work that gets severely unrecognized most of the time.

pappa blows, man last time I saw him at arc I was asleep after an hour, he plays the most boring prog ever I'm sorry

I'm sorry that you're sorry...he banged it out in the Pinky Room in Centro-Fly last year. He had everbody going fuckin' nuts shakin' our asses!!! It really surprises me about Arc but I've heard that your first time on the Arc Stacks can be rough....everybody has their nights....the Giant Stacks couldn't be tamed that night.

sounds good...looks like i will definitely check it out and will have a crew in tow!
