First, major props go to Stef who opened up for Joshua tonight -- not only flawless mixing accompanied by a vocalist, but programming was spot on. A little deep techy in the beginning but then brought the temperature up perfectly with this kick ass Lindstrom-ish (sorry, the dj's and music heads will know this -- but for those who don't Lindstrom has produced some very cool, innovative disco-ish house with electro elements in it) that brought the vibe up perfectly. Stef also impressed me with her energy behind the decks - good to see a dj rocking out and having a good time - the crowd def reads and responds to it. Overall very impressed with Stef's set and a very happy bday to her.

Joshua (Iz) for the time I heard him had some spots that got me into it -- played a classic house choon that got me up and dancing but overall when I left it seemed he wasn't flowing well - it's a hard room to play at times but I know the man not only has the bag to rock any crowd but has the skills.

By the time I left the place was jammed..again

Sleepy & Boo do it again...and bless them too - I know with Pacha last night those two have put in some serious time this weekend.

Fun party...Chuck played some hot choons, especially this Youngsters track. Saw some of Stef NY & her vocalist and have to say that you can never go wrong with two chicks in the booth in tank tops. Left before IZ, had to work today.

Great seeing everyone, so many troopers went to Pacha and Sully this week, cheers to the rockstars. You know who you are. And really great being back at Sully for the 1st time in a while. I luv that place and need to get back to going there regularly.
I'd known her for years. We used to go to all the police functions together. Ah, how I loved her, but she had her music. I think she had her music. She'd hang out with the Chicago Male Chorus and Symphony. I don't recall her playing an instrument or being able to carry a tune. Yet she was on the road 300 days of the year. In fact, I bought her a harp for Christmas. She asked me what it was.

this was a fun party! a great farewell to our beautiful nicole as chuck opened up for her--always enjoy chuckles, whether it be his mixes in the car, chilling at their apt or when he's behind the decks. so nice seeing people that had been at pacha, only this time i got to actually speak to them...sully is much more conducive to just relaxing & listening to some good beats

Yea. Party was dope.

I got in around 2:45.. maybe 3? right before iz got off. caught the last bunch of tracks he dropped. he played some hot shit!!

i stayed and listened to S&B drop the nasty. I don't think i've seen them play before (randomly). But they were playin some CRAZY shit for real.

I love sullivan's sound system.
especially all the way in the back on the stage section with the chairs.
It's poundin back there...

stayed till the end basically.. or when the bar turned the lights up.

good times.

It was my first time there, and I was impressed. Music was great and there were lots of friendly faces and enthusiastic dancers.

Hope you enjoyed the sunflower spanks, Nicole. ;]

We had a fantastic time last night and really felt like there was some special energy in the air...maybe it was all the birthdays, maybe it was the going away party, or maybe it was just the combination of everything. It could have even been the special tribute to Stefny's mom that made the night so splendid. Whatever it was, we had a really great time last night and I think a lot of other people did too

Things got off to a great start with Charlie Ruhle spinning some tunes. Charlie set up a nice vibe to get things going and had a lot of energy coming from the booth. He was knocking on the techno door a few times, moving between some deeper stuff and tougher tracks, but he kept things nice and smooth. It was fun having you play for us, and it was our pleasure to host Nicole's going away party too! Thanks to all the folks who came out to wish her a fond farewell.

I mentioned it earlier, but Stefny and Nick did a great job with the flowers. It was definitely something different for Sully but we really liked it and it was a very nice touch. Her music was totally on point - and having Rhiannon singing on top of it was another treat for the room. Deep, techy and funky house that had everybody moving nicely. Lots of cheers and smiling faces throughout.

This was the second time we had hosted Joshua for his B-Day in NYC and we were proud to do it again. Josh rocked it as usual - jacked-up, tweaked out house that summoned up both Chicago and San Francisco and everything in between. Heavy duty basslines and thick beats galore. Josh was totally living it up for his birthday too and he got a great repsonse from the room during his whole set. He's a super talented producer and DJ of course, but one of the coolest cats in the music scene as well. TEQUILA!!

After a nice rousing cheer for Josh we took over and had a lot of fun closing the night out as well. The repsonse to our set was electric and the energy was contagious. Here's to all the party people...we gotta this thing going. You know, like the way we used to

Peace out! Time to call it a weekend. It's OVER!!

WHAT A NIGHT!!!

thank you all for coming. it was so great to see so many of you before I leave -- reminded me how much I will miss NY and all of you. Chuck played an amazing set -- loved it from start to finish. funky, techy, housy hotness! first time hearing stefny and really liked the live vocal thing -- worked really well. Iz was great and as always, sleepy and boo killed it!
thanks to S & B for a great night.

regina, nice pics! will have to grab those.....

oh, and the sunflower spank genuinely hurt. thank you.

Thanks to everyone for coming out! Had a great time rockin at Sully, both on the decks and the dancefloor (and with the sidewalk conversationalists)!

To Sleepy & Boo - We had a fabulous night, thanks for working with us, I'm looking forward to the next S&B fest (and throwing down for ya again sometime soon!)

All around a very solid night of beats - Stefny, Joshua, S&B - enjoyed all of your sets...and I'm never upset when I'm up on the decks for a bit ( )

Anyway, it was great to have everyone together to send off nicole in style, definitely appropriate that it was at sully.....now don't everyone forget about little old me now that my sexier half is going out of town!
