... as opposed to Weak-end.

And, speaking of swarthy starting points, many 'Big Ups' (to use the parlance of today's children) should be gift-wrapped and sent directly to the doorsteps of Amy, Betty, Dave, Dean, Glenn, Keith, Maximillian and the wonderful Wizard of Kageki (aka., Bri-Bri) for their perserverance, hard work, dilligent detailing and earnest belief in the power of community, electronic and otherwise.

And so, in honour of what has gone before (T-board, NB-verse), and in celebration of the here & now, I offer thee a slightly different take on the usual Friday 'quiet solitudes'... seeing as how this is a music-centric meeting place n'all, and seeing as how Robert Nestah Marley is a highly -favored musician amongst many who dwell 'round these parts, let us raise a cheer to the One Rhythm that chugs away within our collective breastbones, and dance our way into the Promised Land that lies just past that next record on the horizon...

Exodus: Movement of Jah people! Oh - oh - oh, yea - eah!
...
Men and people will fight ya down (Tell me why!)
When ya see Jah light. (Ha - ha - ha - ha - ha - ha - ha!)
Let me tell you if you're not wrong; (Then, why?)
Everything is all right.
So we gonna walk - all right! - through de roads of creation:
We the generation (Tell me why!)
(Trod through great tribulation) trod through great tribulation.

Exodus, all right! Movement of Jah people!
Oh, yeah! O - oo, yeah! All right!
Exodus: Movement of Jah people! Oh, yeah!

Yeah - yeah - yeah, well!
Uh! Open your eyes and look within:
Are you satisfied (with the life you're living)? Uh!
We know where we're going, uh!
We know where we're from.
We're leaving Babylon,
We're going to our Father land.

Exodus: movement of Jah people! Oh, yeah!
(Movement of Jah people!) Send us another brother Moses!
(Movement of Jah people!) From across the Red Sea!
(Movement of Jah people!) Send us another brother Moses!
(Movement of Jah people!) From across the Red Sea!
Movement of Jah people!

Exodus, all right! Oo - oo - ooh! Oo - ooh!
Movement of Jah people! Oh, yeah!
Exodus!
Exodus! All right!
Exodus! Now, now, now, now!
Exodus!
Exodus! Oh, yea - ea - ea - ea - ea - ea - eah!
Exodus!
Exodus! All right!
Exodus! Uh - uh - uh - uh!

Move! Move! Move! Move! Move! Move!

Open your eyes and look within:
Are you satisfied with the life you're living?
We know where we're going;
We know where we're from.
We're leaving Babylon, y'all!
We're going to our Father's land.

Exodus, all right! Movement of Jah people!
Exodus: movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!

Move! Move! Move! Move! Move! Move! Move!

Jah come to break downpression,
Rule equality,
Wipe away transgression,
Set the captives free.

Exodus, all right, all right!
Movement of Jah people! Oh, yeah!
Exodus: movement of Jah people! Oh, now, now, now, now!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!

Move! Move! Move! Move! Move! Move! Uh - uh - uh - uh!
Move(ment of Jah people)!
Move(ment of Jah people)!
Move(ment of Jah people)!
Move(ment of Jah people)! Movement of Jah people!
Move(ment of Jah people)!
Move(ment of Jah people)!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!
Movement of Jah people!

Well good day, Rich! I am glad to see you are also here.

Is that your picture in the avatar? If so, might I say that you are almost as handsome as the scenery behind you.

If it is not you, please accept my apologies.

Hello, David! I am glad to see you kept your avatar, although anyone who knows you would know that you are the furthest thing from a Satanic figure with transformative powers.

I will be making a suitable contribution to your Carnalism kingdom very soon! You are a great moderator, by the way.

Hullo, BrainWavSurfDog! I am also happy to see you roundabouts, and am glad that you obtained a chuckle from my post - such laughter is precious and divine!

Cheers to you Boa Boy! It is always pleasent to have your Australian perspective to savour as part of the international soup of opinions that is always brewing on the board!

Hi Ranty~

I miss your perfect prose.

You really should make the point to post something declarative once a week and avoid getting involved nonsensical board discussions. Leave the the time wasting to me. This way you can keep in touch.

You should also make sure to post links to any of your publishing.

BoaB, if I could join in the fun without getting completely sucked into the strange happenings and wonderful gigglyhahas of my fave Nu Yawkian family, then I would engage you in yet another posting contest like the one we had over at NB (we were neck-and-neck for about the first six months, methinks)...
I am adjusting to life as a lurker 'round here quite well, actually... hmmmm, the lurking life - Muhahahahahaha,... ugh, fugghedit.

ManHo - here's to the most 'straight-up' board name around!

MizzHollyK-licious - ah, my dear fellow Seeker - I trust that the hubba hubba hubby and l'il hellions are doing well; with the R-ism up & running now, if you do actually move to Israel, it'll be nice to know that there's a procrastination server back States-side just waiting to drain you of your precious free time!

SprockleDean-o.... as I mentioned to you before, both your groin and ears would be well-served by visiting the T-dot with Spoony & co. on the 21st - there's a lot more 'Faith' where that came from! And besides, I'll need help in crafting a suitably cracked-out review of my fair city's latest (and badly-needed) 12p-12a afterhours superclub!

SeoulFox - "... here I aaaammmm!" -

And my dear NubieRich - many thanks for your extremely high praise! I certainly am grateful for the many times you provided me with 'grist for the intellectual mill', especially when you pointed out to me some of the less-than-honourable activities of American industries in the lead-up to WWII!
In regards to any URL-accessible writing (gosh goodness, you're giving me a Carson-sized ego!), unfortunately the only link I had was to a site that contained some of the usual clubbing nonsense I dribbled out for an online magazine called 'Deeper' (attached to the Iceberg online radio network) that is (sadly) no longer with us...

Most of the writing I currently do for my biz partners is of the 'internal' or 'pitch' variety, and the numerous entertainment properties I'm helping to "push out there" are at different stages of developmental gestation (in short, me no got nuthin' to show no-one ) ... but trust me, R-diddy, when the Media Fates so decree that 'tis time for one of these l'il projects to actually get green-lighted, I'll be shouting the news from the highest Rhythmism mountaintop!

Cheers to you for offering to 'take one for the team', messageboard-speaking! As I mentioned, adjusting to this lurking thing (esp. when a juicy bit o' politics rears it's ugly head) hasn't been an easy process for ol' 'trigger-single-digit-typer' here...
I was thinking of taking the most troubling articles from my daily truthout.org newsletter and putting them into a weekly thread as a slightly negative counterbalance to this thread's saccharine positivity - a kinda homage to the whole yin n' yang concept, ya dig? - but perhaps we should discuss this matter further before I settle on something else to contribute to this wonderful new home, as you've intrigued me with the 'declarative' wording in your too-kind commentary.

At this point in time, I would like to take a moment to remind every last one of the Rhythmismisters gathered here as to the severe nature of their collective Rawking Hawdness !

R.McOnwards&Upwards,Baybeee!

As your Friday winds down into Saturday debauchery/recovery/discovery, a couple more quotable quotes (I'm saving some big guns for next week )

There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.
-- Albert Einstein

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: It goes on.
