What is a Net Label?

- A NET LABEL is one that releases music on the internet for FREE download through the Creative Commons License. eg Thinnerism, Textone, Uran97, etc...Net labels have been in existence for many years, their history and roots date back to the tracker scene of the 90s. Some very talented Net label artists include Chris Barky, Pheek, Jason Corder, Baier & Box, Theodor Zox, Peter F.Spiess, and Mikael Stavostrand.

What is a Digital Label?

- A DIGITAL LABEL is one that releases music on the internet through PAID digital download websites such as Beatport, EDM Digital, and city 16. eg Infamous Light Recordings. Digital label's are a new concept that have only come to life in recent years as a result of the trailblazing successes of ventures like Apple's iTunes. True Digital-ONLY Record Labels are few and far between.
