Ruede’s remix of Dillon’s ‘C Unseen Sea’ gathers ghostly surging wind noises and the eerie effects-soaked sounds of a child together with foreboding percussion. The final track ‘It’s On’ picks up the pace of the EP for a bustling finale. A 303 style bassline opens and filters closed throughout the track raising the tension and releasing the pressure while unsettling synths and reverb soaked percussion continue the mysterious, surreal vibe of the EP. Patrice Patrice Bäumel is a phenomena on Trapez. He has only released two records on the label, and has little to do with the minimal scene in Germany, but nevertheless has always managed to get a lot of people involved in his records.
His releases have been hits on the floor and we see these two tracks in exactly the same tradition. Patrice is resident in the Club 11 in Amsterdam and has a good production run at the moment. He has just finished two new records
for Trapez. His coming record "Flow" provides on it´s a-side a cool mighty Chicago techno house track with grinding basslines, stuttering vocals and an overall old school touch. The track suites a hedonistic crowd, drag queens,
glam rock new school rave people... house lovers, wild pitch fans, a techno crowd.... Well a track "too cool for this world" with occasional organ stabs, which Patrice seems to have chosen with a lot of empathy for the overall
feeling of that track. Carefully dropping these stabs without any foreboding or announcement, this tracks shows great skill and control when it comes to the thrilling build-up-dynamic with seemingly few elements. A master at work!
"Cavern" on the b-side is the more crazy track with a strong new school touch.

With “Cheeky", Jenn presents a groovy and much more minimal side then we allready heard on her last ep. Suprising and reduced, her sounds looping up and down, embedded in a clonky basedrum structure. The Remix, made by Rebekah, well known from her releases on Criminal Records, is just fantastic and completes the EP brilliantly. She desinged a hugh groove and pushed it forward. By adding her ideas she creates an excellent new track. The Interface original is specified by stomping and jigging beats, which get intermitted by smooth voices and melodies, before pushing it up again.

He's back for summer 'o8 with a three track monster called "Rave Is King". If you wanted more after "I'm A Freak", then you've got it. The a-side kicks off with the single for which the e.p. is named and it starts out with a computer voice chanting "Neon Lights, Party People, Revolution, Rave Is King" backed by a maximized electro basslines straight out of 2008. The flashback comes in after about four minutes taking you back to 1988 with piano stabs from when Rave was only a young prince. It breaks with some simple electronic sounding chords and a stirring Martin Luther King sample that makes this record so memorable. ‘The Time Was Then’ is based around that same sample, but gives a cheeky nod to a few years back, with a bassline and keys that wouldn’t have sounded out of place on their seminal ‘Night Works’ album. Patrice Patrice Bäumel is a phenomena on Trapez. He has only released two records on the label, and has little to do with the minimal scene in Germany, but nevertheless has always managed to get a lot of people involved in his records.
His releases have been hits on the floor and we see these two tracks in exactly the same tradition. Patrice is resident in the Club 11 in Amsterdam and has a good production run at the moment. He has just finished two new records
for Trapez. His coming record "Flow" provides on it´s a-side a cool mighty Chicago techno house track with grinding basslines, stuttering vocals and an overall old school touch. The track suites a hedonistic crowd, drag queens,
glam rock new school rave people... house lovers, wild pitch fans, a techno crowd.... Well a track "too cool for this world" with occasional organ stabs, which Patrice seems to have chosen with a lot of empathy for the overall
feeling of that track. Carefully dropping these stabs without any foreboding or announcement, this tracks shows great skill and control when it comes to the thrilling build-up-dynamic with seemingly few elements. A master at work!

Bastian Heerhorst, also known as FUKKK OFFF brought the heat at the end of 2007 with electro hip hop stormer "I'm A Freak" which gained huge support from djs and clubs across all genres and time zones. He's back for summer 'o8 with a three track monster called "Rave Is King". If you wanted more after "I'm A Freak", then you've got it. The a-side kicks off with the single for which the e.p. is named and it starts out with a computer voice chanting "Neon Lights, Party People, Revolution, Rave Is King" backed by a maximized electro basslines straight out of 2008. The flashback comes in after about four minutes taking you back to 1988 with piano stabs from when Rave was only a young prince. Next up is "Rock Paper Scissors" which is quite simply a monster builder that only gives you rare glimpses of a release. ‘Now is The Time’ has its feet placed firmly in 2008 - a crisp, clean techno bassline, topped by hand claps, snatches of breathy female vocal, and full of an irresistible array rattles, whooshes and other indefinable sounds that the duo seem to pull from the depths of their imaginations. It breaks with some simple electronic sounding chords and a stirring Martin Luther King sample that makes this record so memorable. ‘The Time Was Then’ is based around that same sample, but gives a cheeky nod to a few years back, with a bassline and keys that wouldn’t have sounded out of place on their seminal ‘Night Works’ album. It never goes too far towards nostalgia, though, and either would rip up a late night dancefloor!

She’s actually more of a woman-jingle than a proper woman, but I mean, isn’t that much better? Then « Radio Fireworks » does everything, loves everything and knows what you don’t know. It’s a simple yet dense and solid track, with harmonies that work both like rhythmic engines and emotional stimulators. Its artificial vocals teach us many things about humanity that real voices will never able to. The kick is so tight and definitive you won’t even dare touch it, like those super-athletic butts some playmates have. So if I’d have to sum up this tune, I’d say it’s like Indo Silver Club + Soundhack + Hooo-lyyy-Wooood sur la French Riviera.

BOBMO is a young (17) producer hailing from the hyperactive city of Paris via the even more hyper city of Bordeaux. While in high school, with no musical training, he launched a short-lived rap career, making beats on his Playstation (no, really!), spitting awkward tales of murder and woe. Bordeaux is a pretty cool place and, hanging out with the right crowd, going to the right club, and listening to the right radio show, Bobmo got into Detroit techno, Miami bass, electro and, most importantly, Chicago house. He got himself a PC and downloaded everything from legendary labels Dancemania and Trax. Like so many kids (he’s 19, by the way) of the P2P generation, he ended up taking matters into his own hands. This is the result: “LET’S GO BOBMO!”.

Sony loved it so much they decided to also feature it in the Wipeout HD (PS3) game too. A tune diverse enough to satisfy on every level, throw it down amongst friends or up on stage but be sure to make it LOUD.
