10.8 Roctakon : Older and Wiser
During the summer of 1995, when most kids his age were busy wearing tube socks and necking, Andy Brown was hitting the grind as a local lifeguard. By the start of the school year he had saved enough for his first set of turntables, and that September, Roctakon was born. Rolling deep with the crazy Turntable Lab crew, Roctakon soon started catching the ear of nightlife curators across the country. What started as a summertime obsession back in '95 has now grown into a full time job of keeping crowds jumping from NY to LA. On October 8th, Roc celebrates his birthday at Love, joined by House music legend, Mike Dunn, who comes all the way from Chicago to make it a super special feliz cumpleanos.
