i didn't think the sound was that great honestly

and while i thought steve was good, it wasn't anything extra special for the time i was there (1-4). he was finally starting to pick it up when i left but by then i was done. he played much harder on the sunday school boat and funkier at the yard.

i guess i'm getting old or sober b/c i need a bit more inspiration in three hours. call me what you will but i still enjoy the PEAK tunes which have basically been eliminated from sets the past few years at nyc techno parties. i think i may be over it for awhile... *shrugs*

Fun party but today I feel like I was shot at and missed and shit at and hit. WTF was in those drinks?

Steve Bug was good, not great. I prefer it if he played a bit more aggressively; a little more energy at the peak time.
do less with more.

agree 100% on everything. last night's party was pretty eh.

the set definitely had it's moments (it seems all the "minimal" dj's are dropping Moodyman's Norma Jean Bell and the crowd is eating it up. Most into it i saw the crowd the whole night). There was also another track with a vocal that was like "detroit, detroit" forgot how the rest goes but it was good. Def some housey moments but for the most part just a lot of generic bleep bloop shit. The last 2 hours or so were prolly the best.

lots of peepz standing around with drinks looking cool , sporadic dancing. I think if steve bug would have thrown down a little harder the party could have been that much better. Ah well, still had a good time

just want to correct myself and say it wasn't norma jean bell but moodymann's "shades of jae" that was dropped and all the minimal djs are really caning right now.

also wish i could have caught eric cloutier. I often download his mixes and would have liked to see him live. Gonna have to check him at the bunker one of these days.

in 100% agreement

as far as sound...if you are facing the dj booth, to the right it was too loud, by the front it was great, and in a couple of spots there was no bass.
