BIOGRAPHY

Dj Mad max began his official dj activity at the 8th February 1983 in 370 Club in Pforzheim. There he played all styles of the music, radio, jazz, the skirt, Reggea, new wave, Punkrock, electrical, Soul, House and Classics as a resident dj until 1985. In 1985 he spent equivalent 4 month long the whole summer on Ibiza, which he repeated in 1986 and 1987.
In March 1988 he moved to Barcelona as a resident dj in the “Fibra Optica Club”, in order to play as a resident in the open air discotheek “Atlantida” which can hold about 8000 people.
When Max came back to Germany in 1988 he became a resident dj in the “Sigma Rings” until 1991. After this he went back to Pforzheim to built and lead a discotheek.
Max is also one of the people behind the “Opera Club” in Pforzheim and has organised several parties there with big names like Sven Vaeth, Paul v. Dijk, Gloria Gaynor live. In the year 1993 he changed as a resident dj to the new “Opera” in Leipzig, where he also was responsible for the dj-booking and promotion. There he played on a regular base on Saturdays till 1997.
In February 1994 he began, for the first time, together with Raik E. as a producer and moderator the Technomusicshow “Hour Zero” on radio NRJ Saxonia. Untill December 1997 Mad Max produced all together about 200 radio transmission LIFE !! With guest like Laurent Garnier, Sven Vaeth, Dr Motte, Luke Slater, Robert Hood and many many more.

In the year 1995 he became a resident dj at the Tresor Club in Berlin, but he changed over to the label “Tresor Records” where he is still active nowadays All together Mad Max has played over 2300 gigs. His productions among other thing are published on Acacia Rec/ Detroit, Definite Rec/ Canada, Gold Plate Rec/ Berlin and Ungleich Rec/ Berlin.

We are playing live-sets since 4 years in many european clubs without recording records. The good thing is that we get bookings without records and if the crowd likes it (mostly) we get rebooked to the same club, which happens now a lot of times.

We also play on our self produced software, which is not available in any shops, only we use our own software. Thats a very special point in our live show.

Now we will release records, because we dream about playing also big festivals with 2-3 musicans with real instruments like drums, trumpet and singers later on.

Our first 12inch will be released in march 2004 on the dutch label FINGERS LTD.02, it is called RECYVER DOGS - JACK PART 1 (incl. Remixes by Dave Tarrida,Scan 7 and Hansz). In the moment we prepare a DVD with our live performance in the tresor bunker january!

Steve D is a regular dj in the Tresor Club since 1994. Till 1999 he regularly played there the legendary “After Hour Sets” which brought him several good bookings. In 1997 he organised the first Tresor night in Moscow together with the “Goethe” Institute. His performance as Underground dj from Tresor brought him for example to Brazil in the famous Bunker Club in Rio and to Sao Paulo, to Spain in the Space Club on Ibiza and also Moog+Nitsa in Barcelona. He is well known in Poland, Croatie and many other countries.

In Germany he has played in all well known clubs like Ultraschall/ Munchen, U60311/ Frankfurt, Prag/ Stuttgart, Phonodrome/ Hamburg, Distillery/ Leipzig and on many Festivals.
Without any own productions he is still pretty unknown in the media, but the people who do know him call him “The Marathon Man”, set of 4 till 8 hrs are very normal. He must have picked this up when he was a dj at the “After Hour Sets”.Together with dj Mad Max he has a live performance called "The Recyver Dogs” Now he will be in Holland together with Mad Max for a night full of Tresor.
